"...yeah, I recall; I was there." Agumon noted with a yawn, before he began heading off. "Heading to Station 8 now! See you all tomorrow!"

He smiled as Agumon walked off...



...as he glanced at Sampson. "...so, our enemy knows how to use darkness to control Digimon while supressing ordinary Digivolve? Who could have that kind of power? A human or a Digimon...?"



"Hmm..." He frowned.


Section 8 was a sort of work station...



...where he sat there, typing on his keyboard...



...his partner leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, being patient.

Hovering over Thomas' shoulder was a floral Digimon merely observing his work curiously...



...whilst an older female sat patiently on a chair and gazed towards the wall.

After a certain point...



...Agumon entered the Section. "Heya, Thomas!"



The floral Digimon perked at that. "...oh, it's Agumon!"



Glancing up at that, she couldn't help but smile. "...it's been a while, Agumon." she noted.

Stopping his work, he glanced over and smiled. "Hello, Agumon."



He lifted his head and smirked. "The smarter one..."

Agumon grinned at hearing that, as he rubbed the back of his head. "Sampson said that you'd show me a room for the night, Thomas... but aside from that, what're you up to?"



Yoshi chuckled a touch at that. "Oh, unwinding after a day's work, mostly."



"It didn't yield lots of results, though..."



"No... but I feel that my method is working."



"Method?"

Closing his computer, he glanced at Agumon. "Many things have happened today... while Yoshino is dealing with Digimon Online, we're on a trail of someone creating an illegal Digimon tournament..."



"Not much is known about it as everyone who takes part is keeping quiet about it..." He said. "They say the results for losing is not pretty..."

"...really?" Agumon blinked at that.



"...the tournament is known in some circles as a Death Match tournament." Lalamon noted. "The loser's Digimon are... killed."



"...what?!" Agumon seemed visible apalled by that revelation.



"...a few rumors circulated around Digimon Online." Yoshino sighed. "I brought the information up to Thomas and Sampson, and now we're looking into it."

He scowled. "...the losers who didn't want to lose their Digimon are frightened into silence..."

He slammed his fists on the table. "But, they won't get away with this!!"



"We've heard that the tournament is usually against the the host... who is cruel and wins every battle..." He said. "But, today was different... he lost badly... and is currently hiding with his pride wounded badly..."



"Despite losing, he and whoever is paying for these tournaments to happen are still going to face charges..." He said. "We have a name, but we need permission to charge them."

"...do you have any proof on these guys, though?" Agumon noted.



"We're looking into it." Yoshi responded. "We're taking these guys down by the book."



"Anything beneath that wouldn't be just." Lalamon shot in.

He nodded with a grunt...



...as he crossed his arms. "Forgive me for asking, Agumon... but, why are you here for the night? Don't you usually stay at Tai's place?"

"...oh, that." Agumon hummed, as he rubbed his neck. "Izzy somehow found some kind of glitch inside me; thinks it's because of those dark towers we were dealing with earlier."



"...a glitch?" Yoshi blinked.



"Yeah. He couldn't find out what the glitch would even do, though..."



"...curious..." Lalamon mused as she fluttered around Agumon.

"I've heard a bit of these dark towers..." He said, standing up. "Haven't got the report on what they do yet..."

"...well, to make a long story short, they keep you from using Digisoul and Digivolution when you're near 'em."



"...well, that's inconvenient." Lalamon mused.



"And they shot out these dark rings that somehow took control over other Digimon; including Champion levels!" Agumon added. "But me, Patamon and Tentomon were safe, because of our partner's Digivices."



"...so the old Digivices work as a repellant to whatever's fueling the rings, do they?" Yoshi hummed. "Very interesting..."

"But, what does that mean for partnered Digimon who's human partner uses the DATS Digivice...?"



"............" This is one test he's not willing to go through.

Indeed; something she was not willing to try either.



"I dunno; Izzy's probably gonna do more research on the towers. We can't get into the Digital World, though; the towers are keeping the Digital Terminals from opening..."



"...sounds like a big problem."



"A massive problem, even!"
