"Not bad," Kari chuckled.


She nodded. "Still, I have a feeling that's gonna be a piece of cake compared to the challenges we'll be up against in the future... You know how it goes in TV shows."

And suddenly, Davis was surrounded by the kids, again before he could bask in his own victory.

"Dude, where you get that Armor Digivolve thing?!"

"Yeah, I never heard about it."

Grinning wide, he proudly rubbed his nose. "Well, it's not given to anyone. Only the be-"

And then came the bell.

"ALRIGHT, WHAT WAS THAT?!?" a booming voice roared, scaring most of the students to go inside. Stomping out the door was a muscled man in a red crop shirt. "You know the rules!! No Digimon in campus grounds during school hours!!"

"Uhh...b-but coach Mountain..." he gulped. "But it was before the bell ra-GAAH!!" And he was hulled inside the school.

"...ouch." TK hummed with a light chuckle, before he noticed Yolei, Cody and Kari. With a smile, he approached the three of them.

"Well, at least the morning didn't start off boring."


"I had a feeling that would happen," Kari giggled, and then noticed TK, and smiled, "Hi, TK!"

TK smiled back. "Good morning, Kari. And to you too, Yolei, Cody." he hummed with a nod to the three of them.

Lunch time was now, much to Davis relief for his temper. He just got released from detention, after second period. Pouting, he stirred his food, wishing he could get that stupid coach back.

"Sheesh, someone's grumpy," Yolei chuckled, sitting down with her own food.


Kari didn't say a word, wondering how Gatomon was doing right now...

Taking a seat by them as well, TK just chuckled a bit awkwardly.

"Hm?" Still with his face on his hands, Davis silently glanced at TK and Kari. Since school, Kari and that....guy seemed awfully chummily together. It's almost as if they...

"So... I guess we're going to DATS HQ after school?"


"Yeah, my brother told me we were," Kari noted. "I heard Gatomon lost her tail ring... That's not good. Now she's basically stuck at rookie-level strength, with no real way to increase it without recovering the ring..."

He hummed, as he glanced at Kari. "...well, you shouldn't worry too much; she's with Patamon, Marcus' Agumon, Tentomon and Ogremon. As long as they don't get separated, they should be fine."
