"What?" His eyes widened. "Why? I didn't..." "Sir, yes sir!" He saluted, and extended his arm into Kaz's face, making him stumble. He didn't want Kaz to get in trouble with the officals after all. "Guh..." He was cut off.

@lt. Col. McCall@ "You wouldn't want there to be an issue, would there? Fleeing the scene of an assault? Involvement in such a fuss?" he asked, eyebrow up. BOW TO THE LOGIC! Sam and Aaren both meekly looked down. @lt. Col. McCall@ "I'm surprised that the proper legal authorities aren't here already. Son, will you be pressing charges?" "No, sir. I won't. No point in doing so." "Pressing...charges?" @lt. Col. McCall@ "How much do you know of Earth, Aaren?" asked Lt. Col. McCall...though his voice seemed a bit softer. A hardass, but not an asshole. "...None, sir." @lt. Col. McCall@ "Alright. I know that Tokyo houses the main branch of DATS. We will go there after we are done clearing this up with the Tokyo Police."

"...tch, fine." He looked away, looking upset. 'I just sidestepped DATS too. I should've jumped into a computer and left it at that...' "Lead the way then, sir." He saluted again. "And, please excuse my partner...can he have a quick phone call when we get to our destination?" 'He sounds like we're going to jail...then again, Kasumi would be worried.'

Well, if Kaz didn't want to go to DATS, that was fine-
@lt. Col. McCall@ "As long as it's in line with the Japanese legal system," he said with a shrug. Oh. This was about the human law, not the digital world. He was talking about DATS for Aaren in particular.
Sam and Aaren continued looking at the ground.
(Should we wait for an admin to do the police stuff or skip it ourselves?)

Well, the four had their statements taken by the Tokyo Police pretty quickly. No one was seriously injured- or even really injured at all- and therefore no charges were being pressed. Besides, it was clear that incarcerating Aaren wouldn't do so much, and Sam, Kaz, and Bitmon hadn't even really done anything wrong. Hell, Sam was commended for getting everyone out of the internet cafe.
Outside after giving their statements...
@lt. Col. McCall@ "If you two wish to leave, now, that's your business," he said, "Thanks for your assistance." He offered a hand to both of them.
Samuel and Aaren were standing together quietly. Aaren had just learned to be honest and keep quiet unless spoken to as he visually inspected his surroundings. All of this was beyond super-new to him.
(My characters are now moving on to the DATS thread.)
