Digitamamon's Diner - Being Sincere...

"Oh, yeah, because the world's built up on coincidences." Kunemon remarked. "You think you're the only kids with the means to carry those eggs, or something? Sounds really presumptious of a little girl."



As Kunemon and Kizuna were bickering, Makoto looked back at the pond.

[Ninetalesuk]

"Excuse me...?" She scowled. "How about you?!"



"Teamwork doesn't look too good between us if my partner and your partner are arguing, huh...?" He dryly asked Makoto...

Makoto didn't say anything, as he kept looking at the water.



"I'm a worm that shoots lightning web from my mouth." Kunemon remarked. "I can't use one of those Digi-Eggs; I'm not stupid, if that's what you're apparently thinking. Unless you're too busy being offended because I dare to be honest."

"Honesty is the best policy, they say... with you, it's dangerous..." She said, dryly.



He grabbed Kizuna's arm and gently lead her away. "C-Come on... m-maybe we can... uh... find your egg someplace else...?"



"Hmph..."

"Oh, yeah; the Digi-Egg of "Stick-In-The-Mud"'ll fit her perfectly, I can tell." Kunemon remarked.

(SPLASH!)



"...hm?" Kunemon turned back to the pond, only to see that Makoto was missing, and ripples were visible on the water's surface.

"Wha...?! M-Makoto?!" She gawked.



"I guess he's gone to get his Digiegg, huh?"



"B-B-B-But... he needs a diving gear like me!!!"



"...oh..."

Trotting over to the edge of the pond, Kunemon hummed. "...guess he figured he didn't need it." she observed calmly.

As he swam down, he made sure to keep along the edge of the pond the further down he went; focusing on swimming closer to the bottom where he assumed the egg would be.

She fitted the goggles and mask over her face. "I gotta go after him..."

And Kunemon glanced over at her. "...you can't trust him to do this on his own?" she huffed. "Give him a shot on his own. I think he wants to do this alone."

And she just stood there...



"She trusts Makoto..." He said. "So, maybe you can...?"



Again, she stood silently...

Nodding, she looked back at the pond. ...you can do it, kid.

As he got closer to the bottom of the pond, he was noticing a shape stuck against the floor. Holding his breath as best he could, he swam towards the Digi-Egg. ...this is... Slowly, he moved a hand to grab the egg.

And the egg gently floated off the ground, from his close presence.

Meanwhile, Kentarou stepped outside, rubbing his belly in bliss. "Hey guys. What's up?"

"Ruff!" the little dragon puppy flew out the door, with a large bone in his jaws.

"Makoto is in that lake getting his Digiegg!"



"And how the heck is he carrying that huge bone?!" He gawked.

"Um... think he found it?" She hoped, considering the boy didn't seem like a swimmer to her. But looks can be deceiving.

Kunemon still watched the waters; humming. ...c'mon...

And, after a few moments of silence...



...Makoto, gasping for air, shot out of the water and began swimming for shore. "G-guys...! I..." And as he swam, he periodically held up a peculiar object. "...I got... the Digi-Egg!"



"...well." Kunemon hummed with a mild chuckle. "Guess you really can count on 'im."
