Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location... -------------- *SLAM*  The emperor himself was seen in a dark room, in a seat, surrounded by screens. Looking rather pissed off. "...."  "Are you ok? Ke..." *SLAM* He hit his chair again. Making him jump back. "Ah...I take it today wasn't a go..." "No, today was splendid. Losing 2 towered areas, 20 Digimon, including Locomon. AND it turns out we have two business rivals I never knew about!" "...well, at least you have me?" He came up close. Earning a kick from the Emperor. [tag=AC] |

 "Its so hard to get good help these days, ain't it?" Mari shook her head, looking up at the screens, namely the one the one that just displayed Daemon.  Somehow, that demon lord... it felt a tingle in her mind. |

Indeed, if the Emperor had a list of all the rings with captured slaves under it, he'll find one variation of the signature coming from Mari. "He was defeated before, he can be defeated again. "One of our cameras caught a bit of their conversation before it shut down. Apprently, he has the strength of a Mega. And he's on Folder." "...did you say Folder?" He looked over. "A.ah, yes...if I recall, our main force is expanding there. But if here's there, that means..." As soon as he said that, the screen displaying a map of the Digital World changed. All the black spots on Folder suddenly vanished. "...he's taken over!" |

He sat back down, and started thinking. Taking everything into consideration. "Indeed. Though there is the possibility they could destroy each other...I can't take that chance." He smirked. "But if we swoop in at the right moment, and defeat the survivors..." "That...could work." He said. "But Locomon is gone. He was our best Digimon." "Hm..." He looked at another screen, which showed a list of various Digimon. 'The ring shattered after some time during the battle, was it too weak...or is he too strong?' He looked for a certain pattern. |

If one were to examine the maps of the 'newer' continents they would note...
Dark Towers were being rapidly cleared out from the Gaia Continent and its surrounding islands. Gaia, being the smallest continent, was also the home of DigiCity, so no doubt this was due to the efforts of the DCPD and DigiPol.
However, on a more disturbing note, towers were being eliminated at random at a somewhat slower pace on the other continents. And there was a rather consistent sign that it was a singular perpetrator - most, if not all of the Digimon in each area where each tower had been toppled had been deleted entirely.

And all of a sudden, the screen fritzed out and turned black. BGM: WonderlandA digitized giggling fit seemed to ring around them, as the screens began randomly flickering to show several rapidly different images all at once; most of it being nonsensical scenes from worlds beyond the Kaiser's reach. The giggle was nondescript; like it could either be giddy or downright mocking, or even both at the same time. |
