Name:
Mitsuo Yamaki
Age:
32
Gender:
Male
Residence:
Shinjuku
Occupation:
HYPNOS Director
Character Class:
Noncombatant
Weaknesses:
He can be controlling to the point where it becomes obsessive. Is exceptionally hard on himself when he believes he has failed.
Personality:
While his sinister, black-suited exterior seems to present Mitsuo Yamaki as little more than a basic G-man, those shades hide the mind of an electronics genius. Yamaki, a stiff man of few outward emotions, grew to hate the creatures, viewing them embodiments of chaos and disorder, a danger to humanity, as well as mere faulty programs. Among Yamaki’s traits is his compulsion to flick open and close the silver Zippo lighter he always carries – it’s generally believed he’s attempting to quit smoking, thus flicking the lighter is a possibly-unconscious nervous action caused by wanting a cigarette (due to stress, most of the time).
Likes:
Order, when things go according to plan
Dislikes:
Chaos, things getting out of control, Digimon
Appearance:
History:
Digimon do not really exist.
At least, that's what the govenments of the world wants everyone to believe. Starting with the takeover of Odaiba by Myotismon, the government has been trying to keep the existance of the digital world a secret...mostly because they had no more idea what they were dealing with than the average person did!
They covered up the more public Digimon incidents, explaining them off as natural phenomenon, mass hallucinations caused by chemical spills, large scale advertising, whatever. But things went out of hand after Kurata's plot that nearly crushed the Earth with the Digital World. Since then, it was hard to convince people that it was all in their heads.
And somehow, Digimon Online became a reality. The government perhaps allowed this, hoping this would convince the people that Digimon was just a virtual game.
But while that happened, various government organizations began working on the 'Digimon problem'. However they found themselves greatly hindered by the fact that a lot of their data seemed to disapear into thin air...
An electronics genius, Yamaki was a key designer in several govenment based computer systems. He grew hatred toward the Digimon, ever since his newly wed wife was killed during the Myotismon incident. As of now, he is director of the black-ops division, HYPNOS, which is funded by a certain infamous rich family.
