"I'm glad that you're reasonable." Mephistomon chuckled, as he stepped closer to the two. "Now... perhaps I could be taken to meet your master? To discuss with him... personally."

"That won't be necessary."

Suddenly, various screens around them lit up, with a single image...




"This is most curious... Who would wish to make a deal with me?"


"I was kinda wondering that as well, boss."

He chuckled. "...I am Mephistomon." he mused, as he moved to type on a different console. "...and here is my benefactor..."

And in that instant, other screens lit up...

...to reveal this face. "...good evening. Or is it morning, wherever you're hiding?"

"I wish I could tell the difference anymore," chuckled the other voice, darkly. "These are my subordinates, Prometheus and Pandora... Two of my finest creations to date. They will help set the example that will replace the inferior humans and Digimon."


"Aw, you're too kind, boss."


She simply nodded.

"...quaint." he chuckled. "How long did it take to complete your perfect creations, if I may inquire?"

"Oh, it took a while... There was a lot of experimentation and prototypes to go through. Though, as they say, practice makes perfect. I am a rather... Patient man, now."

"Ah, I can relate. Patience is a virtue, after all." he chuckled. "That's why my Vemmon data was ready to go in a mere half hour. I am already massproducing an army as we speak."

"Oh, I used to have an army... All of that is gone, of course. They became worthless the moment those damned DATS operatives managed to reach Mega level. Sometimes quantity is worthless without quality..."

A motion was made towards the mechanical monstrosity the Vemmon had overridden. "Need I say anything? I can offer you quality and quantity..."

"So you say... But having simple footsoldiers can't hurt... What's the catch? Surely you're getting something out of this deal as well."

This gave him pause for thought, indeed. "Hmm... Considering we have only just known each other, there is a certain level of trust that we need to establish in time. But for now, I suppose I can provide you with the foundation of my research into my creations. I'm sure a man of your capabilities will have plenty of ideas of how to utilize it."

"Oh, you flatter me." Analogman chuckled. "I'm certain that we'll find time to build up trust... perhaps in a show of good faith, I can leave my second prototype as one of your creations' sidekick. Mephistomon, if you will."



Smirking, Mephistomon opened a dark vortex, and out popped a peculiar creature; similar to the monster the Digi-Elf had turned into before merging with machines, but... different.

"Behold; Snatchmon, the next step in my brilliant army. He will act independently with your creations for now, but I will still supply you with Vemmon who will obey without question."

The creature slowly made a glower towards Prometheus.

He smirked, "Oh, oh, my! What's he capable of?"


She sighed...
