"What? That's not a microwave, that's a... Scanner..." He said, looking at what he thought was the scanner... And it turns out it was indeed a microwave. Which he immediately turned off, and make sure the component was undamaged. "Oh, hell..."


"Whoops... Maybe we should leave it here so Miki and Megumi can take a look at it properly..."


He sighed, as he looked at Riza. "So, what's up?"


"Well, I have some excellent news - I've tested out the enchanted bracelet I was making, and it works perfectly against the dark rings. Any Digimon who wears one will be completely immune to the effects of the dark rings. I'm already making more."


"Awesome!" Masaru grinned. "Looks like anyone without a digivice of light isn't gonna be a sitting duck for those things anymore."


"And... Could you pass along a message to Sampson? I'd like to make a request. I have an order for a couple of bottles of human-made bourbon. It's a request for a 'new recruit'... Well, someone we've managed to convince to help us. Turns out Sanzomon is hiding somewhere to meditate, and he ended up in a cell after a rowdy night..."


"Goku? He actually got some time off?" Masaru smirked. "Get him on the line!"


"If you insist," Riza chuckled, looking over her shoulder. "Gokuwmon, Masaru wants to talk to you!"

"So, they managed to wrangle you back into this shit, huh, kid?" chuckled Goku, getting on the line, "Think you could make sure they get me Maker's Mark?"

[Candescence]

"Heh, I can't make any promises, but I think Sampson will make the effort if you're on our side," Masaru remarked. "By the way, you two... Lilithmon's resurfaced, and she's starting to work with the other Demon Lords..."


"Oh, we know. She paid us a visit after our test," Riza noted. "She said something about being interested in the 'chains of fate'..."


"WHAT?!" The moment they heard 'chains', they knew exactly what she was talking about.

That actually got Sam to blink.

"Err, ma'am, there were strange chains around this object that we found," said Sam, bringing it forward for her to see.


"That looks like a piece to a Gigastick Lance. Where'd you get it, boy?"


"We defeated a wayward Sealsdramon and when it was defeated, it produced this," said Aaren.

Sam then explained what the heck happened afterward.

"It's... A replica?"


"Maybe. I don't know what it is exactly, but it's definitely not a normal Gigastick Lance," Masaru said. "It came out of the Sealsdramon, and it was in chains, which Sam broke..."


This gave her pause. "Maybe the legends of the Moirai are true... The Fates do exist..."

Goku moaned a bit and scratched his head.

"Angel, it looks like my help's going to have to be cut short...You, boy. I didn't catch your name."


"Samuel McCall, sir."


"And Aaren Fish-Catcher."


"I want you two in the digital world. Here. Now."

"Huh?"


"I need to take you to Sanzomon. She'd know what to do."

[Candescence]

"Oh, hell... That would require getting the commander's permission... I guess I'd have to come, too," Masaru said. "If those enchanted items do work..."


"They will. Unfortunately, the Demon Lords will likely be watching our every move."

"It's not like it's going to kill you, boy. And yes, Angel, I know that. I'll have to devise alternative means to get a hold of Sanzomon in order to keep her hidden...either that or we're going back on the move hardcore again."


"I think the commander would appreciate us out of his hair...Neither he nor the pompous one seem to appreciate our presence..."

At that point, the two of them entered the room; their arms folded expectantly as they raised their eyebrows.



"Were you going to run this by us before leaping wildly into something, or what?" she mused.

"Ah, Miki, Megumi, had a nice lunch break?"


"Actually, we were going to get the Commander's permission, first," Masaru chuckled, turning around, and showing the Gigastick Lance part to the girls. "Would you mind getting this analysed?"

He immediately explained to the girls how they got it, and what they just learned from Riza and Gokuwmon.


"If we need to go to the Digital World so urgently... Looks like this stuff about the 'chains of fate' is heavy stuff..."

"What's this stuff about chains of fate? I never heard of it." Trab asked, reading the post.


Asil reading his shoulder, "Must be something Cande has planned for Keith to reject faith and claim to be master of his own."


"But he's a fictional character in a roleplay who's actions and events are written down by people with their computers! How would he be master of his own faith when somebody is writing it?"

Sam and Aaren only looked completely meek at this point.
