There was a listing of several military units that the US had in the area; the USA had a large military presence in Japan. That list included the aircraft carrier George Washington, and the cruisers Shiloh and Cowpens.
"If you need firepower...which I understand that is unlikely on our end...you're welcome to it. But we're already diverting air traffic from around the city and we'll cordon off the roads. At the moment, your government is allowing this. But we won't fire a shot until we get the say so or we're attacked ourselves."
There was a moment's hesitation. "How's my son doing?"

 He nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea. We need to keep anyone from getting in the crossfire. By the way, your son is in the Digital World, training with the Monkey King. He's not ready for something like this yet. He's doing pretty well, so far!"  She blinked. She never thought she'd be present while people were talking to people from the US army... |

There was another pause. "At any rate, I'm now officially the liason for the DoD to DATS. If you need anything from us, call me at the same number. Good hunting, good luck, God bless."
He then hung up.

Makoto was silent for a bit, but then he clenched his Digivice a touch. "...Izzy's counting on us... I can't just turn my back on this." He nodded. "I'm going to try and help. What you decide to do is up to you, Kizuna." Then, he hurried out after Ken. |
