The big thing the group will have is the vaccine. It's a data program that counters the control of the Dark Rings and the Dark Spirals. That obviously has to be delivered bodily, but that requires, well, shooting them considering they'd fight. It makes people immune from what I would assume would be the virus program and control from the rings.
Two, the new D-Touch digivices have a limited ability to block the signal that cancels out digisoul, at least, from the towers. It allows it to work inside a limited radius, and those without the D-Touches can hide under it like an umbrella in the rain.
And yes, the D-Touch is already by Admin desire going to replace both the D3 and the iC; they're bringing upgrade kits back.

Umm... I dunno... negating Dark Rings is one thing... but, Dark Spirials and Digivolve Block...
Feels like Gary/Mary-Sue in my opinion, sorry...

So does the insane stacking ability of everyone to block almost everything positive. You've got your characters that yes plotwise can block things or fix something an enemy is doing (With those other digivices that save the people that were turned into digimon). But when you've got OCs, you've got to do something to at least put them on reasonable equal footing because they weren't provided it with plot already in place, otherwise you create a class of second-class citizens, and that's just irksome.
Believe me, I could justify leveling every single one of the digimon in the DoDDW up all the way to Mega right now permanently. I'm still making them at least work for it; but it's giving them some sort of importance to a greater overall plot that they weren't provided for because they were OC, not characters that already started with importance, abilities, and powers.

I know Cande agrees about this, because... well... he's Cande... But, what about AnT?

As far as has been indicated, AnT had left the results of the DoDDW actions to us. Believe me, I've pestered CS to make sure to message AnT. I'm trying to limit the amount of stuff done in terms of making sure they, yes, have new abilities and importance, but not simply crush people. The blades that Bit and Brett got are only stat-reassigners, not bonus items. The gun Thad has can do the vaccine and shoot normally, but it doesn't give him amazing other powers, it just lets him use that mental roll which humans usually can't. The digisoul block removal and such aren't exclusive; that'd be added to about everyone that wanted to convert to a D-Touch from an iC or a D3 (it doesn't work with the D-Arcs, because ENIAC2 didn't have access to them). Brick got a new evo line, and Kaz and Brett have a second partner now (not like there isn't precedent for that in this RP). But if AnT disapproves of anything, there will obviously be changes. I'm not trying to piss people off, Nine. That's not my intent at all. I just wanted to give some of the OCs that had no greater plot importance a different way of being interesting and independent.

Yeah...not sure for the idea to block even Dark Spirals. If you want evrn footing, try working on thosr program things. Not many of the canons uses those, so they can be your thing, like the carfs are to the Tamers.

If you're referring to the item plot; we can't involve that without some creative writing (which can be done, yes). If you're referring to the program fighter abilities, then we've got an issue with the fact that we JUST converted Kaz over to a digisoul fighter because of the fact that the program fighter stuff is terribly over-complex. We could create a different independent class, I guess. Depends. And CS is obviously going to want a say when he gets up >_>.
Other issue is how to logically prevent Thoth or ENIAC from figuring it out. I'm not saying it CAN'T be done, but it's kind of difficult.
At the moment, I could explain it in this way:
Because the D-Touches are D3/iC combination, the partners are immune to the control. And Thoth might need more time to complete the level of coding needed to predict the more powerful Dark Spiral's every possible iteration until we can bring back data on that, which might be later in the plotline. That way, the players that convert to the D-Touch have immunity, but they can't auto-free other digimon without knocking over towers or whatnot, and no army or etc.
That fair?

.....tell us, why should the OCs get a combo Digivice of iC and D3 that'll make them better than canon characters?
I can hardly see this fair...
You can either have an iC or a D3... but, not a combination!!!

Nine...I've mentioned this before in the conversation...it's not going to be exclusively theirs. They're going to bring back upgrades for EVERYONE, it's the replacement for ALL of them...EVERY D3 and iC is going to get his upgrade. Please stop yelling.

YES. We brought this on to fix it for ALL of them, we weren't planning on keeping it exclusive. Check the BIOS topic in the archives, ENIAC2 is making upgrade kits for ALL D3s and iCs.

This is... NO!!!

...Could you please stop yelling? It's not necessary. Would you explain why this is an issue instead of making a lot of noise?

NO, I WON'T STOP YELLING!!!!
*Ahem*
I'll let AnT know and he'll tell you why this is an issue...
But, I tell you this... the D3s and iCs are fine!!! No upgrades needed!!! Otherwise, it'll ruin everything!!!

Well, I suppose we'll have to see. Just stop freaking out. I'm sure something can be worked out, man. But there's no internally-canon-logical reason to prevent it, is the issue. At least, insofar as has been explained. There might be a meta reason, but it's not like the characters know that. And it already happened a while ago. Just chill. Something can be arranged. And again...CS obviously has a say, too. If there's a lot of independent plotlines clashing here, then we're going to have to think of something.
