But I like the idea of having different Digivices. To have flaws and pros to seperate each other. To combine them seem a little overpowered.

In that case... why not fuse them with the D-Arcs too?!
The Digivices NEED pros and cons! Combinding them together is broken!!

Well, he couldn't combine them with a D-Arc, he didn't have one to do it with. If anyone had sent someone with a D-Arc, he'd've done it.
All I'm saying is that it's LOGICAL, and above all ENIAC is a being of logic. While it makes sense in terms of 'game balance' to have them different, that's not the CHARACTERS' problem; that's an overarcing RP problem for us. In that position, assuming that they're in a 'real world' situation and acting like practical, real people, they're going to do whatever it takes to give them another edge. You'd've thought they'd've already done it if they realized it was possible.
It's the game-breaking difference between what makes sense for a game and what makes sense for real life. For example, in every shooter, they have to balance guns- the G3 can't have full auto because it's already powerful and accurate- but the thing is G3s WERE automatic. But because then people would complain that a weapon is OP, they have to balance them with other weapons.
What I'm saying is- Yes, you have a point. It takes away a certain amount of uniqueness, but to say that there's no reason for it to happen is simply untrue.

Ok, realisticly, I can see why they would take the power up. But what if there was no choice? What if the program was NOT compadible with every Digivice ever?
ENIAC's a godlike figure, I suppose so. But I think we need limitations like that to make sure things don't get stale.

I don't know. When the question of uniqueness came up, I just had to jump in on this as well. The last thing I want for every character is to lose what makes them...well, them.

Kelik brought up an interesting point, that doing this causes a problem in getting rid of the point of DNA evolution that's supposed to happen for the main characters. HOWEVER, there was no plan currently for two digidestined, Kaz and Brett, to be able to do so at all. It saved that quandary.
Here's a proposal to prevent the spread and loss of uniqueness: The change would only be able to take place in the DoDDW; it requires data manipulation abilities; there's no physical ability to upgrade without that aid.
There's no logical reason for their current holders to get rid of them, but we can create a differentiation by keeping those three unique as their own thing.

I think the only game he's minecraft-kind-of-addicted to is TF2. Neither game I get XD.

Well, interesting. Good thing things calmed down somewhat before I came on. Sorry for my late entrance, I have a cold and had trouble sleeping last night.
Anyhow, I wasn't intending to spread the Touch out to everyone, especially not initially. The 'Upgrade Packages' that ENIAC2 spoke of would take a lot of time, only work with one Digivice per package, and the initial plan was for him to rush out one and then take his time with the rest, which would take roughly 1-2 in-RP days, I'd wager. Though it seems that's likely not gonna happen anyhow.
