"I'd invite you to my place, but my parents are really cautious about DATS members."

"Ever since the invasion, they've been rather overprotective of Keenan. That's why we couldn't participate in the defense."

"Maybe if I stuck by your side? I think your parents would be more comfortable with an angel watching over you," Riza remarked.


"I could invite you to my place... But we don't really have a guest room..." He scratched his head.

"I think right now it's just best if I stay out of the way," said Sam, looking to the side, "I still don't think I'm necessarily wanted here..."


"Eesh."


"We seem to be an awkward addition to this force..."

"Maybe." Keenan looked over. "Maybe they just need a talk."

"A shame. If it weren't for your efforts, Diaboromon may have succeeded in his goal."

[Candescence]

"If I recall, wasn't Diablomon destroyed by Omnimon?"


"I think Neon and his partner share a bond that's difficult to break... I think the best way to combat it wouldn't be to defeat them, but to try and convince them of the error of their ways," Masaru nodded. "As long as Neon lives and Keramon can reincarnate like any Digimon, well..."


"Sheesh..."

Sam and Aaren shrugged.


"I was just the guy with the computer."


"And I did not finish my opponent off when I had the chance..."


"See what I have to deal with?" chuckled Goku.

"Heh, right..." He sweatdropped.

"Interesting fellows, the both of them." He laughed too. "Agumon, I'm curious. How did you break out of that Spiral? Didn't you try to escape?"

[Candescence]

"You guys are incredibly modest," Masaru laughed.


"Yeah... I took so much damage from Ozma that I just couldn't take any more orders... I wanted out of there... And then I crashed into the forest, and next thing you know, this green worm Digimon came up and took the Spiral off... And then I was a Koromon again, and then Davis showed up-"


"So you were freed by a green worm...?"


"He was... About half my height or less, I think..."

"Huh, a green worm? Rather interesting that a small Digimon took the Spiral off when the others couldn't."

"Well, by then, it must have been damaged a lot." He nodded.

[Candescence]

"I can't remember how much it was damaged, though..."


"They're much more durable when they're actually attached. One solid hit while they're still in the air and they shatter easily."


"Hmm..." He looked at Sam, "So, anything you feel you need to improve in?"

"I can FIGHT fine."


"He's actually pretty good at that, I'll vouch."


"It is simply a matter of having his digisoul rise to the level that he could evolve me to Dynasmon by himself."

[kelik]

"It took Keenan and the others a while to bring us into Mega and Burst Mode. But hopefully you'll come along quick enough."

[Candescence]

"That's not easy," Masaru noted. "Digisoul is powered by emotion, you can't simply improve it by physical training. Passion is what improves Digisoul."


"Heh... Who knows if there's ever a limit to the potential of Digisoul. We even did some kind of special Burst Mode thing back when fighting Yggdrasil!"


"I hear it was that 'Dragon Burst Mode' that Agumon had... Powerful enough to smash a massive hole through the god-like entity..."

"Digisoul has some boundaries and abilities out there we don't even know yet. Sam, show 'em what you learned today."

Sam nodded and got up. He sighed- and then backflipped, standing straight up, into the air- and landed on a platform of digisoul, crouched down much like Goku would be.


"Things you pick up," he said with a wink.
