"Well, we'll need whatever sharp minds we have to get the job done. It's your call, Spencer."


"Do what you gotta do, and whatever copies you can make to whoever needs 'em most," Keith said.


"Weapons or not, that folder there contains all the info you'll ever need on all the known Digi-humans... Well, except one, but she's locked in a high-security cell at DigiPol for good reason."


"So, anything else we need to talk about...?"


He was rudely reminded by a familiar green crest glowing on his chest... "Oh, yeah... This stupid thing."




"Hmm... So that's the 'Crest of Lust', eh...?"

"I didn't say I can't make copies. I just can't make so many at once. Maybe three at a time, since this uses a lot of power." Blinking at the crest, "Crest of...what the hell?!?!"

"Where did you get that?!?" He yelled, staring at the Crest.

"Lilithmon, apparently. Don't touch him or you'll hallucinate a creepy female version of him. Poor Kaz is permanently afflicted..."


"Err, and do you think it'd be possible to, I dunno, change the parameters? Maybe make the evolution go all the way up to Ultimate or mega or something? Have someone copy the code out and alter something to do that?" asked Brett, simply positing things.

[Candescence]

"Nanami mentioned it to you guys - Lilithmon attacked me on Aether and forcefully implanted this crest into me," Keith said. "Stupid thing seems to have a mind of its own."


She sighed. "We were hoping the original Digidestined might have a clue about it..."


"That is difficult to say... We have not encountered any 'dark crests' until now."


"Well, at least we know those tickets can be distributed over time, which is good."

Gritting, angrily, "If Lilithmon put that there, then it needs to come off!!"

"I agree!! Kudamon, is there anyway of getting rid of these type of crests?"



"They're not like the ones the original Digidestined used with the eight they gave up... this is a Crest based on one of the Human's seven deadly sins... The only thing I can think of that can remove this crest is the one who gave it to him in the first place."

"Considering what's happened to Keith of late, I'd think she'd be less than likely inclined to do that," said Brett, shaking his head. And of course my question gets ignored...


"I might have a suggestion to both," said the Lt. Col., walking over and making sure the door was shut, then standing in the corner of the room, "We've got a bit of an...expert...in these things back at the DoD that might be able to do something about it."
Might be about my only time to get a word in edgewise with this bunch...


"...You're not DATS, what's the US military got that could help this out?" asked Andorra, wondering why the soldier was even here in the first place.


"ENIAC2."

That made Abraham's head snap up.

"ENIAC2?"


"What the heck are you talking about?"

"Yeah, there's no way Lilithmon would do that, even if we tried to-"

Then he heard what McCall said. "Wait... What did you say?!"


"ENIAC... 2?!"


"There wasn't a second ENIAC... I should know, my great-grandfather helped create ENIAC..."

"The what?" he narrowed his eyes at the officer.

"ENIAC.... ENIAC2?!?" He gawked.

"Ah. You're Keith Windslow, then," said McCall crisply, nodding his head, "Well, sorry to make your great-grandfather mistaken, but there is another. The original ENIAC was a mandate of the US Department of War. It was meant to calculate artillery trajectories for the Army Ballistic Research Laboratory. That kind of went up in smoke when it unexpectedly became self-aware. You would know the rest of the story, so I'm not going to bother with what you already know."


"Someone fill me in later, then," muttered Brett.


"But would you think that holding the rights to the same machine that made its own world wouldn't intrigue the DoD, as it would later be named? Shortly after the first was disassembled for safety- hell, some of the important parts I don't even know where they crammed them. Destroyed, likely, in case someone got ambitious and tried to gather together the disparate parts. So, a second ENIAC was commissioned with an extremely minimal staff. ENIAC2 has been in US 'service' since 1960. Of course, it's not networked to anything else. It's only got a limited field of influence. You can't get to it from here. That isolation left our few men that could help five years ago stranded and unable to respond to the threat posed by the forces of your King Drasil."


"So wait, there's an ENIAC running right now?!"


"And a second digital world to go with it."
He looked at his hand...
And after a second, what was unmistakably digisoul flashed. Green, exactly like his son.
"I haven't used this in six years, so I'm rusty," he frowned.


"WHAT THE-"


"Wait, what the heck?!"


"Didn't you wonder why I've never been intimidated by any of this?" said McCall, a bit amused.
He smirked a bit at Kudamon. "Never worked with a Kudamon before. None in the digital world I know."

"Another Digital World..."


"With it's own Digimon?!"


Her jaw dropped. "Holy cow..."
