He nodded. "I see... Seems we're limited in our means of acquiring them, but I would consider it worth the effort. Any means of combating the capabilities of the Digimon Emperor and the Demon Lords would be vital to our efforts. It would also good for our public perception, if we can prove Raidriar's claim that we cannot adapt, to be false." "True..."

"Yes, but you can imagine that the denizens of that world value their secrecy..." "They've managed to live through all of this and in peace with humanity. You'd have a long way to go to convince the DoD and them to go public. We're under strict orders...and mental blocks...to prevent leaking anything unless absolutely necessary." "My Uncle, Thothmon, is one of many guardians who would love to help more openly, but they must put the safety of their world first, and the fewer people know, the better..."

He sat back, contemplating... And then he chuckled. "Well, if they value secrecy so much... I have a proposal. It would require the participation of multiple individuals, including Professor Daimon, Izzy, and Gennai... But I think it could work. ENIAC2 and Thothmon have already made the ground work... The programs inside the D-Touch could be ported to other Digivice types. While I doubt they'd be as good as a proper D-Touch, having those programs, including immunity to dark rings, preventing evolution and Digisoul blocks as well, would be fantastic. Izzy's analysis of the Digivice 01, which also prevent evolution blocking, would help as well." "I get what you're saying... If those programs can be made to work on other Digivices, we wouldn't have to drop the secrecy?" "Exactly. If we put it under the guise of a secret project, then we'd throw off any scent already laid."

"Maybe...I'd have no idea how that'd work, but we'll see." He laid back. "Seems kinda complex, but whatever works."

"We're not in any position to make those kind of decisions," shrugged Brett, "I would hope it wouldn't create a problem, but your fellow higher-ups weren't really too keen on any of this..." They'd probably shit bricks over what Thad's doing."At any rate there are things even that cannot explain."

"What got them riled up was the research based on Kurata's weaponry," Homer noted. "That Digisoul revolver from earlier, I suspect was a unique invention, if this Thothmon is so intelligent... Am I correct?" Wait, did he figure out that the pegasus was connected to Brett and Kaz somehow?!

"I've got no idea what you're talking about," blinked Brett, the mental block getting him again. "Heck, if you're referring to Thad, we didn't even hang with him much in the DoDDW." Even DAEDALUS had the block on- "I do not remember him ever having it. He showed the prototype he was working on to Aunt Sekhmet and they did end up tossing it to the side..."

At any rate, both Kaz and Brett's D-Touches blinked and a golden Ankh appeared on their screens as their updates loaded...and they then took the shape of their old D3s, but with one extra button. Daedalus disappeared into Brett's... "New update. This prevents scrying from the Demon Lords and allows for disguise of the D-Touch as their original forms.""Cool."

He took it. "Huh, pretty nice." "Aw, it's not a cell phone anymore..."

He knew their answers were very odd indeed, but he decided trying to get something out of them would be futile. "Hmm? New upgrades, eh? Considering the trouble we've been having with the Demon Lords, messing up their ability to spy on us it valuable..."

"Right." "Think that's what the extra button's for, Bit..." He picked up the D3 and pressed the new extra button and, indeed, it reverted to the D-Touch form. He pressed a new button on the touchscreen and it turned back to a D3. "At least we can actually show our digivices now."

"Ooooh, nice!" He nodded. "Yeah, we don't have to keep those hidden now." He took it. "Good thing too."

"Yep! Very cool." "Hmm. Is there anything else you'd wish to tell me?"

"Nothing that I can think of..." said Brett, scratching his head. Brick reverted to normal. "It sure was fun, though." "They said that they'd still allow visitors, depending on if they can be cleared by the DoD. Other than that, we're pretty much waiting on whatever orders...though I think Kaz and I were going to go knock over more of those damned towers. Maybe hunt down more item parts."

"Whatever works for me." He said. "Though I'd like to help that Fairmon get back home safely. I owe her for helping Mahiro out." "Aww, you do caaare."
