Her headstrong attitude usually gets her into trouble. There isn't a scoop too dangerous for her, which leads to her to her doom.
Her confidence in raising Digimon was shattered when Desmon killed her Digimon in cold blood. Because of that, her fighting will is shattered and will usually give up when things get too rough. That is why Ken will be nearby to keep her on her feet.

She's incredible energetic. When it comes to her career finding a great scoop, she never rests. When there's something that seems like a good story,she will butt-in no matter what anyone says. She is very assertive of getting what she wants, and she is quite bossy to people, like poor Ken, to helping her.
But even she has her moments. While she is quite caring, she kind of does things a little aggressively. she sometimes see things 'realistically' when Ken is in one of his 'heroic' moments.

Kizuna Shinkai's interest in Digimon was started thanks to her childhood friend, Kentarou Kamon. When she got her Digivice NEO, she raised a Tyrannomon.
She also took in a career in journalism and became hardheaded to uncover corrupt secrets. Hearing rumours about the Jousaki family, bad ones, she wanted to dig up a scoop on them...
Thus, she entered the tournament that the Jousaki family set up... the Death Match Tournament. Unknowing to her, the stakes were high. Anyone who lost would have their Digimon killed along with the Digivice NEO destroyed.
Three moments of loss hit Kizuna...
She lost the battle...
She lost her Digivice NEO...
She lost Tyrannomon...
...all three of these were towards Shin, who took sick pleasure at this as he used a cheating Digimon his family personally created to crush her and her Tyrannomon...
Shin's victory and sadistic pleasure came to an end thanks to Ken and his powered up Digimon...
But, the damage was done for her... Tyrannomon was gone for good and Kizuna doesn't know what to do next...
And it was only recent...
