Being born in Japan, Atsushi's family moved to America a short while after the attacks caused by Belphemon. There, he took up the nickname of Junior, which he carried with pride. In this new place, he's found a lot of activities to keep himself occupied with, and he's enjoying every moment of it.
Upon reaching the age of 15, Junior learned about the newfound attraction known as Digimon Online; which, as he had been fascinated by Digimon ever since they emerged in the real world, seemed like the best kind of opportunity to him. So, he decided to just go for a ride into Digimon Online...
...and that'd turn out to be quite the experience for him...
