Despite having her own partner reach to Ultimate two times, Kristy is not an experienced Tamer as those times were without a Digivice. Thus, she's not good with her Digi-Soul and isn't much of a figher liker her brother.

Kristy was 10 years old when she started to get involve with the adventures of her older brother, Marcus. It begins with Agumon, whom she takes a quick liking to quickly and thought of him as another brother. She also got to know to know the other DATS members that Marcus worked with, mostly Thomas with the Birthday party and inviting her and Marcus to lunch on one occasion. Then, there's the Digidestined... with another Agumon, who is smaller and smarter than a big one.
Then, her life changed when a Digiegg arrived that hatched into a Puwamon. The Puwamon soon Digivolved into a large Biyomon... a large, MALE Biyomon! They became close friends and Biyomon promised Kristy that he would protect her. However, Marcus didn't want Kristy to go through the dangerous battles and tried to get Biyomon go back to the Digital World... sadly, Biyomon was forced back as a Digiegg by Falcomon and Mega-level Merukimon.
However, Biyomon's loyality to Kristy was so strong... he hatched, but in a dazed state with limited memories of Kristy. When Merukimon tried to make him forget about his friend, Biyomon Digivolved as Aquilamon and escaped... where the battled DATS, overpowering them while leaving Marcus and GeoGreymon on their own. Kristy tried to make him come to his senses, but it failed and Aquilamon was now Garudamon... defeating GeoGreymon and nearly killing Marcus, Kristy and their mother. But, Marcus was able to bring RizeGreymon into battle and defeated Garudamon to return him back as a Digiegg. When Kristy saw it, she said that she was glad that Biyomon no longer had to suffer.
Kristy and her mother remained as support for the DATS team and even befriended Keenan and forgave Falcomon. Then, one day, during the Royal Knights' attack, Biyomon came back with a group of baby Digimon she was looking after. Biyomon couldn't remember Kristy, but she knew it was the same one she had. The same Biyomon who was her friend.
When Leopardmon attacked, Kristy watched the battle from the balcony while Ravemon and Rosemon fought him where Biyomon joined her. Biyomon protected Kristy from Leopardmon's attack by Digivolving Garudamon, somehow regaining his memories... maybe. Keenan and Yoshi left to the Digital World with Thomas to help Marcus where Biyomon stayed behind to protect Kristy and the others.
When Craniamon appeared in the Real World, Biyomon mistook him as a threat and tried to fight him. After being swatted away, Kristy told him not to fight, but Biyomon refused to due to his promise to always protect her. When Chika decided to fight with him, her Digisoul appeared and Biyomon became Garudamon again. He was still no match for Craniamon, but he soon realized that Craniamon was actually there to help BanchoLeomon, taking his place to prevent the Digital world from crushing the Real World.
When the threats were over, Biyomon was allowed to stay with Kristy and she was given a DATS Digivice. However, she has yet to master it and give years later, no Digivolve yet... yet.
