Kouki is hot headed, he seeks fights and violence even if it means he'll get in serious pain. He hates to lose, and those that anger him he goes in a one-sighted fury until he feels at ease after giving them pain. The only person, the only one that could bring out any good in him is his little sister, Rei.

Kouki is very violent, and tempermental. Since he gets angry a lot he goes an find a fight, but if he loses, he gets even angrier and goes after that person over and over again until he wins. Life has no meaning to him, wither its digimon or people, the only one he does value is his sister, a kind hearted soul he refuses to let her see him such violent he calls himself Kouki to others to prevent his real name from getting out.

Before Kouki became a delinquent, he went by his real name Neo, and he got along well with his little sister. He would kill anyone who knew this, but he loved to play games with her, having tea parties or make-believe. They often played with their sesame street toys, his favorite being Cookie Monster.
Though as they got older, their parents divorced and Neo had to go with his strict father. He hated the man and he took his anger out on the world, fighting with random thugs in the city. To make sure his name wasn't known in the underworld, he called himself Kouki... after his favorite muppet. He only looked forward was the letters his sister send once in awhile.
Though despite that, he felt bored and tired. Taking his anger out on humans was getting redundant, but then he was hired by a man name Kurata who wanted him to be part of a project called the Bio-Hybirds. He turned him and two others into digimon-human hybrids, and he fought perfect opponents with Tai, Marcus and their Agumons. After his defeat as BioThunderbirdmon, he seeked a bigger fight and with the other two, again they mutated further. Becoming BioDarkdramon, he fought ShineGreymon and WarGreymon in the city, putting lives in danger. but he was defeated with the Geo Grey Sword and the Dramon Killers.
He was split from his digimon side, becoming a digi-egg. Though sometime after the whole Yggdrasil ordeal, he gotten word that his sister was gravely injured during the whole digimon battle, as she may never even walk even. It was during his battle with the Greymons.
He hasn't met up with the heroes yet since, but he resents them with much fury now. Though deep down he hates himself for causing such a predicament to his sister. Though, he later heard some things about Marcus and Tai about their sisters; On how Tai almost killed his sister and Marcus, while having a thug life too, is still accepted home and both of them are close to their sisters! He however, he can't even look at them anymore.
With what he had learn from his time with Kurata, he found a hole to the digital world and remained there for years, training himself for revenge one day. His digi-egg did hatch, but after some time with the one digimon, he rejected the BlackGreymon, saying its not the digimon he wanted... and it was just a bad reminder of his life.
