Though a friendly guy, Tom is a very dry person with a sharp tongue; poking fun at certain... well, for lack of a better word, absurd things. He also has a tendency to poke fun at just about anyone; himself and his partner included. He also has an affinity for puns; no matter how obvious they might be.

History:
Born in Nottingham, Tom generally lived a relatively simple life; finding time to both go to school and just spend time on the internet. One day, when Digimon had become mainstream and he had some money to spare, he decided to use it to buy a Digivice NEO, just for kicks.
From there, Tom raised his newfound partner, Candlemon, with some manner of care, even given a few monetary disputes here and there. In spite of that, he and his partner became quick friends, even if it seems just to stem from their unique chemistry (Tom's dry wit and his partner's energetic personality).
Nowadays, Tom's studywork has come to take him to an exchange program; now spending time in Japan as part of the student exchange program he's undergoing. Whether or not he'll do well is anyone's guess...

He was influenced a lot by various shows he'd see with or without Tom around, and as thus, has grown fond of a lot of things from Japan. Unlike Tom, he's not nearly as good with puns, and as a result, if he finds even one pun he can use over and over again, he will use it over and over again.
