DigiCity Police Department: A Humble Proposal

[Candescence]

That morning, in the DigiCity Police Department building, the cops had arrested a rather interesting drunkard the night before, and was keeping him in the lockup. Actually arresting him was a pain in the rear by itself, but a certain Inspector figured she could make it all worthwhile.


Riza came down to the cells, wondering if their special guest was awake...

[BlueLoneWolf]

"So, they finally decided to send someone down here, then?"
He snorted, yawning a bit.
"Would prefer it if you gave this place more comfortable sleepin' considerations. You're supposed to be preventing people from drinking, not driving them back to it with back pain."


"So, who are you, then?" Gokuwmon said with a snort, "Almost too pretty to be an officer."

[Candescence]

"Inspector Riza, at your service, and consider your complaints duly noted," Riza replied, as she stood in front of the cell, helmet off and allowing her blue eyes to show. "I honestly wasn't expecting you of all Digimon to be arrested at a time like this."

[BlueLoneWolf]

"What, I get off work for the first time in a few millenia and you don't expect me to go party?" he asked, snorting again, "Been waiting for a day when I didn't have to cater to Sanzomon's every whim for a fricking long time..."
'Fricking' skirted the swear filter...for now...that could change...
"So I got more than a bit ripped. Least I came relatively quietly," he grumbled, "Maybe really loudly, but did I deck a single officer even if all you sent was a bunch of Champions after the disturbance? Nooooo, I didn't. Least, well, not that I remember. If I broke someone's jaw, I apologize."

[Candescence]

"Oh, you didn't go overboard, thankfully," Riza chuckled, sitting down on the chair next to the cell. "Now... I have a proposal for you. The Digital World is in a crisis at the moment, and you have an opportunity to utilize your talents for a good and lawful cause."

[BlueLoneWolf]

"Are you kidding me with this, Lady? I just finally, FINALLY got off work on a vacation that'll last only Yggdrasil knows how long while Sanzomon meditates, and now you want me to help you guys out?"
He snorted. "What do you take me for, a defender of the peace? I'm out for good fights, good food, and good drink right now. Not interested in getting involved in this shit-"
The headband pinched on his head. "OW! Even while she's meditating she curses me so!"

[Candescence]

Riza leaned back, with a chuckle. "Mr. Gokuwmon, or 'Goku', if you prefer, the Digital World at the moment is being threatened by an evil person calling himself the 'Digimon Emperor' or 'Kaiser'. He is placing Control Spires all over the Digital World, using them to control innocent Digimon. If he succeeds, that means no more partying or getting drunk or what have you, especially not if everyone in the Digital World are his mindless slaves. If you want good fights, we can help you with that, but only if you agree to help."

[BlueLoneWolf]

"Yeah, I realize. I knew I'd have to get involved sooner or later," moaned Gokuwmon- Goku was fine, "Because while you guys will throw me in lockup, all I get outta that arsehole-"
"OW!" more pinching.
"-controlling everything is either a death sentence when he find I don't like him or I get a collar around my own neck. And that ain't gonna happen. Still don't like being put in a position like this. Can't ever get a day off in my life, can I?" he asked, annoyed.
He stood up and walked over to the side of the cage. "What do I get out of this little arrangement, exactly, babe?"

[Candescence]

She stood up, smiling, "Simply put - you get to beat up anything under the control of the Spires, and you can also tear down any Control Spires you see. And, as a bonus, you can help me test out something I've created that might make you completely immune to the effects of the Black Rings."

[BlueLoneWolf]

"Hrm...that sounds decent enough...but I'd like a bit of personal sweetener to the bargain. DCPD has plenty of human connections, right?"
He smirked. "I want a couple bottles of human bourbon. That stuff's great. And...."
He smirked even more at Riza, "A date with you would be nice, babe. Never seen a cop that looked as good as you do. And I only work with you."

[Candescence]

Riza chuckled, considering it, and then unlocked the cell door. "Fine. Hopefully DATS will help with the bottles... And as for the date... Just this once. Unless you're enough of a gentleman to make me consider going out with you a second time."

[BlueLoneWolf]

Goku smirked a bit.

"So I guess I've got to straighten up around you, then?" he asked, chuckling. "Fine. I can do that for a shot, I suppose."
He yawned and stretched. "Alright, alright, alright. Can't catch a break..."
He stepped out, hands in his pockets. "Now, Miss Riza, you've got something else that I want back."

[Candescence]

"I know that could be taken as a double meaning, you know. But I assume you mean... This."

She suddenly pulled Goku's Nyoikinkobou out from her uniform, extending it slightly as she twirled it in her hand skillfully, before handing it to him. "Quite an amazing weapon."

[BlueLoneWolf]

He took it and twirled it even more expertly. "Indeed, it is," he chuckled, "Cracked more than its fair share of skulls and it's still in perfect condition. Nyoikinkobou..."
He chuckled and shouldered it. He then winked at Riza. "That's why I said 'back', Miss. Ain't anything else you got that was previously mine, unless there was a drunken night I don't remember. And I remember pretty faces."

[Candescence]

"Indeed, we haven't met before," Riza chuckled, as she took out another thing from her uniform - an iron bracelet with holy engravings. "Now, this... This is an enchanted bracelet that I made myself. If there's one thing we know about the Dark Rings, is that they are weak to the powers of light. So I imbued this bracelet with such power, and made it so it'll send waves of light energy through your body if a dark ring manages to attach itself to your body. Ultimate-levels can resist the Dark Rings by themselves, but Digimon who don't have such holy power, it's best to take precautions."
