Tends to talk technically, making him hard to understand the first time he explains things. Also, Izzy still isn't comfortable in sociable situations. He prefers to sit behind his computer, and work, making him very secluded.
Personality:
Though he's gotten over most of it, Izzy still seems more comfortable with a computer than around people. He's very work focused, and usually will refuse to quit when working on a problem, be it how to defeat an evil Digimon, or programming a VCR. He's quite brilliant, as he was able to decipher how to use the digital code language of the digital world without any outside help, and was the first of the digidestined to determine that the digital world was a parallel dimension, created by the growth of electronic devices and computers on earth.
Likes:
Computers, electronics, solving problems, studying things related to the digital world.
Dislikes:
Things that mess up his computers, being forced to abandon a problem, Mimi annoying him while he's working.

History:
Izzy's real parents died in a car crash, and Izzy's adoptive parents were asked to take care of him. He heard he was adopted on a night when he couldn't sleep. Ever since then, he kept himself strictly in his room, behind his computer, pretending he didn't hear a thing.
One day, he was sent to summer camp, where he made sure he was equipped with computer gear so he wouldn't be inconvenienced of his computer usage. That is until, after he, and six others, received their Digivices that they were washed into a strange world, known as the Digital World. There, Izzy met Motimon(Oh noooooo!! Mmmmm...) and managed to Digivolve him to Tentomon to defeat a Kuwagamon.
Dealing with a threat, known as Devimon, Izzy was fixated on some strange hieroglyphics, in a temple, to even care for Mimi's concerns; hurting her feelings enough to get her lost in the maze. Figuring out their Digivices, Izzy navigated her out, and purified the temple's guardian, who was out to kill them. But soon, the entire gang defeated Devimon, and went onto another threat, Etemon.
However, during Tai's month-long disappearance, after Etemon's defeat, Izzy runs into Vademon, who tricks him into giving up his curiosity and regresses him to an accepting mind that does not question anything. Tentomon frantically tries to get him back to no avail; he slowly reverse digivolves back into Motimon and Pabumon before Izzy snaps out of it. Izzy gets his tag and crest and his curiosity back. In the ensuring battle, Kabuterimon digivolves into MegaKabuterimon and defeats Vademon.
Reunited, the gang finds out that Myotismon was the one trying to separate them, but also learned that he was after the eighth child. Using Myotismon's gate, Izzy figured out its functions and got them to the real world. Learning that Tai's sister, Kari, was the target, all the DigiDestined managed to defeat Myotismon...for the first time.
Myotismon somehow managed to revive himself into the much stronger VenomMyotismon, who threatened to destroy all of Odaiba with his increasing power. Gennai send Izzy a prophecy that should help defeat Myotismon for good. Before all this, Izzy's parents found out about Tentomon when the Bakemon nearly broke into their home. They decided to tell Izzy the truth about his adoption, which ended in a heart-felt moment.
Back to the battle, where Izzy orchestrated Tai and Matt to follow the prophecy, allowing their Digimon to become Mega and defeat VenomMyotismon for good. Their problems weren't over with, however, as another force threatened to merge the Digital World with the human world; the Dark Masters, a group of four Mega-leveled Digimon who had risen to power during the Digidestined's absence. The four united proved stronger than the Digidestined could hope to match, but they eventually were sent off to deal with them one at a time.
And then, after they beaten the Dark Masters, came the final boss, Apocalymon, who instantly destroyed their crests, and them. But, learning the crests' power came from them, they reformatted themselves and defeated Apocalymon for good. This came with a price, however; the time rift between the two worlds would be repaired with Apocalymon's defeat, and if they didn't get back home before the rift sealed, it would take decades before they could return home. With that, the Digidestined tearfully parted ways with their partners, and headed off home.
After the Millenniummon incident, Izzy got involved in the DATS incident, with the Digimon invasion, led my Merukimon. Without Tentomon around, Izzy could only be useful helping around the computer systems, and the Digital Dive, in DATS. Using the system, Izzy managed to get Tentomon, as well as his friends' Digimon to help DATS deal with Merukimon...only to find the true mastermind; a human named Kurata.
The mad doctor sent his ultimate weapon, Belphemon, on the city, but was destroyed by Marcus. But deja vu, like the Dark Master, the Digital World hangs above the planet, once again, only this time threatens to crush the world. Izzy had to stay behind while DATS went to the Digital World to find the problem...which they did, and all was won....for the cost of the dimensional barriers severely damaged. All the Digimon had to go back, or they could be erased from existence. DigiDestined and DATS were lost without their Digimon....except for Marcus, who went with them.
Years later, the DigiDestined were summoned into the Digital World, while the barriers were healed just enough to bring them in. They were forced to give up their crests to restore the barriers, thus losing their power to evolve past Champion. Though Marcus' father tried teaching them advance Digisoul, their Digivices were too complex to use it.
A couple of years later, the Digital World has changed. With Digimon common knowledge, DATS constructed Digimon Online to keep the the Digimon and human community in check. Izzy helped with some of its systems, mostly by studying the Digivices. Izzy indeed kept himself busy maintaining Digimon Online...at least part-time.
