Ghost Town: Highnoon Hijinx

The barren western parts of the Digital World. Not too many Digimon explore this territory, due to it's harsh sun and lack of...anything. However...

"...." A rather angry Digidestined wandered through, looking exhausted.

And his partner just rolled by him. "Still nothing..."

"Yeah..."

"Well, at least it's not too hot. My scanner just says it's right under a hundred!"

"...."

"Oh! Sorry, it just broke a hundred..."

"We wouldn't be walking if you didn't run out of steam!" He shouted.

"It's not my fault..." He sobbed, but then looked up. "Oh! I think I just picked up some readings up ahead!"

"Really!? A town?!"

Rushing past the two would be a ol' fashion Chuckwagon, strangely not being pulled by any horse or beast.


It being driven by two small creatures.


"UGH! How long till we can get to town?"


"Relax, it should coming up soon... hopefully."


"That's not helpful..."

[kelik]

He looked over at them and pointed. "Kaz, look! A wagon!"

"Hm?" He blinked and saw it, surprised. "Wha!? What the heck is keeping that thing going?!"

"I dunno, but maybe we can ask for a ride!" He zipped over. "Heeeeey!"

There he goes again. But Kaz was feeling tired, so... "Wait up!" He ran after him.

That moment the wagon stopped,


the monkey-elf pulled out a map, flipped it around a few times trying to study it, "Okay, if we're heading north than I'm sure we'll get to the town in... a few minutes."


"And if we're NOT heading north?"


"Um... " He gulped, taking his eyes off the map, giving his partner quivering eyes, "I'm sure we'll still get to town... if a few days."


"AAAAAAHHH!!!!!!"

"There is a town nearby though!" He said, stopping in front of the wagon. "My scanner picked one up a few paces that way too!" He pointed.

He came up and looked inside. 'Who the heck are these guys?' He looked a bit surprised.

Looking behind them, seeing the robotic digimon suddenly appear, they screamed, "AAAAHH!!! WHERE YOU COME FROM?!"

[kelik]

He jumped back, surprised at their surprise. "AH! I DON'T KNOW!"

"Settle down..." He came up. "This is Bitmon, my partner. I'm Kaz. We just got ported around these parts and we're looking for a ride to town, that's all."

"A... A chosen?" The female elf snapped her finger, bringing up a holographic screen and started scrolling through it.


"Oh..." The male monkey-line one calmed down, "Um... okay I guess..."

[kelik]

"Chosen?" He blinked, and looked surprised at the screen. 'Who are these guys?'

He calmed down too. "Swell. Love what you did with your wagon, by the way. Seems fitting!"

[alienchild]

"Found him! Kaz Fuudo, a delivery boy from Tokyo. He also goes by the nickname 'Silver Bullet'."


"What'ev." The male tug on some harness, despite they wrapped around nothing. This caused the wagon to move again, "So where you said town was?"

He eyed the girl. "...uh, yeah. How'd you pick all that up?"

"That way!" He pointed as they got onboard.

[alienchild]

"I'm a Digi-Elf, a servant to the Digi-Gods. We keep tab and info on all those with a digivice." She replied as the wagon went on the move.

[kelik]

"........" He had the most shocked look on his face.

"Oh, wow." He whispered. "Kaz doesn't like people watching him, says it makes him nervous or something like that...not that I mind, I like the attention."

"I can hear you..." He still looked stunned.

"Eh... sorry, its a policy our bosses demand."


"Due to some recent circumstances, their omniscience ability had diminished. We were assign to pick up the slack."

[kelik]

"DATS must be having a field day with this."

"No kidding..." He rubbed his eyes. "So this Digi-god, or whatever he's called, is he trying to keep everything in check or something like that?"
