She doesn't like danger, and would run screaming especially if it means she gets dirty, but if she gets push too far she might fight back. She has a good heart, sometimes aiding those like Ogremon when he was injured, despite what he had done in the past. She's very persuasive with the digimon, this can go from flirting to just managing to convince them to help her, like the army she made to help fight against Piedmon. Also, don't ask her for what's going on... she'll make a long winded speech!
Having a Digimon Online account, Mimi thought it would be some fun joining in. Making her own account, she calls herself Mari and plays the role of a 'bad-girl'. Considering this digital world is just for fun, she believes this is okay. Mimi is one of the seven digidestined children who were pulled into the digital world, the partner she met was the vegetation digimon Tanemon. With the other six, the young digimon digivolved into rookie, her form being Palmon and they chased away Kuwagamon. One by one, each of the digimon unlocked their champion form, Palmon becoming Togemon when all the kids but Mimi were captured by the brainwashed Monzaemon.
The one controlling the teddy bear digimon and many others with corrupted black gears was a powerful champion by the name of Devimon. He had each of the children scattered across File Island. Mimi and Palmon, after taming a Sukamon and Chuumon to behaving, found Izzy and Tentomon on another piece of island. However despite what she could do, Izzy stared with his eyes on the computer until Mimi started crying and ran into the temple.
Izzy and Palmon (Tentomon went with Mimi) search all they could for Mimi, especially as one of Devimon's brainwashed minions was lurking, and they found each other and freed Centaurmon from the dark spell. They learn what they could about the digivice and managed to get the island to turn around and return with the others. There, they fought off Devimon with the newly digivolved Angemon' help, and were told by Gennai of a quest in Server. They collected their tags, their crest as they try and out run Etemon and his horrible concerts. But when Tai and MetalGreymon vanished in the final battle with the elvis-monkey, the gang split up for a moment... Mimi and Palmon found themselves in a an elegant castle with Geckomon and Otamamons running the place.
They made her their princess, but only because they wanted her to sing and wake their master up, but the power got to her head, she even imprisoned Tai, Joe and their digimon when they were trying to get her to sing on a recording. However, thanks to a brief encounter with Sora, she realized what was going on... freed her friends and finally sang... only for the ultimate digimon go on a rampage forcing MetalGreymon to knock him out.
The gang reunited again, and they met with their next foe, Myotismon. A powerful vampire, who planned to invade the real world and locate the Eight Digidestined. They seven heroes and their digimon chased the vampire to their own world, and did their own search for their missing member. Though the battle got even climatic, as Myotismon managed to cut Tokyo from the rest of the world with his fog, and began putting many to sleep while capturing children for Gatomon to pick out, being the 8th child's digimon. Mimi was among that group... during an attempt to escape, Togemon digivolved into Lilymon, but was easily knocked aside by Myotismon, forced by Sora and her digimon to take and retreat.
When Myotismon finally captured Kari, each of the Digidestined made their way to the TV station for their final battle. The vampire digimon was too powerful for even their highest forms, but when Kari got Gatomon to digivolve... they finally won, for the moment. After they defeated Myotismon for a second time, the children made their way back to the digital world as a new threat has appeared, the Dark Masters. MetalSeadramon was their first opponent, who along with the other Dark Masters have killed a lot of their friends. Their next opponent was Puppetmon who had Matt's mind by toyed with to fight Tai. With all the fighting and madness, Mimi couldn't take it and wanted some time away from the group, so Joe volunteered to join her. They encountered Ogremon and helped him with his broken arm. However things weren't easy as Etemon returned, as MetalEtemon. It was thanks to Leomon, now SaberLeomon who helped them escaped. The lion gave his last life to protect Mimi, and was destroyed by the metallic monkey.
As the others fought off Machinedramon, Mimi and Joe recruited Frigimon and then Meramon, and when Joe left for his own self-thoughts, Mimi found more of their digimon friends and join the final battle against Piedmon. Then it was her, Lilymon and the other digidestined against their final opponent, Apolypsemon which they managed to defeat.
Since then, they went back home... only to find DATS waiting for them. They were made honorary members for what they go through and for being chosen by the digital world. It seems their digital adventures weren't over, as a a time-space digimon called Milleniumon took her and the other seven children, leaving a boy name Ryo to save them. However that very digimon wasn't gone forever, leaving the Digi-Gods to make a tournament to train Ryo, Mimi was chosen to be one of his opponents.
Sometime after that, and the events of Our War Game, Mimi was called to the Digital World with the others, having to give up her crest to keep the digital world's balance. Sometime after that, she moved to America with her family. While she now has a peaceful life... deep down, she really does miss her digital adventures. Hearing of the new Digimon Online game, she logged on and made a new account for herself, name Mari Goutokuji.
