 She smiled as she saw Ivan. "Long time no see, Ivan."  "It's kinda confusing for me, too... But I think I kinda get the gist of things," Keith noted. Then he heard what Alex and Labramon said. "Dark water portal...? Nothing like that happened with me, Brett and our partners, but we fought a Socerymon who seemed to be working for someone. The moment we kicked his ass, he suddenly evaporated into frost and just... Disappeared. No egg or anything."  "Maybe the those two occurrences are connected somehow?" |

Brett opened up the door and stepped out- wait, no, he had to hold it open for someone that needed it open.  "Sorry, excuse me." "'Scuse us!" Brett merely laughed and nodded, letting the two in as he stepped out, Brick following.  "So this is DATS, then?" mused the young man, looking VERY professional in the vest, dress pants, fine shoes, and button-up shirt. The only thing that was slightly odd about him was the dragon necklace and the sunglasses- no, wait, just normal glasses. Fancy transitions things.  "I hope so! It took forever to navigate this city!" "Traffic WAS thick with all the disruption going on," agreed Thad, "Now, the question is, who to report your issue to..." --- Outside, Brett merely sat against the wall and sighed. "Problem, Brett?" "Nah, just needed to get some air. There's way too much stuff going on right now for me to be able to pay attention to..." "...You going to quit?" "What? No! I don't quit...besides, you guys apparently need my help to solve this nonsense. Whatever this nonsense is. Digital elves and sorcerers attacking me and digimon that steal souls and...oh boy..." he said, shaking his head, "Bit overwhelming at first when you jump into it." "So you're staying?" "Besides the fact that this place is the only place that's offered me a job, yeah, I'm staying. Someone's got to take care of you, and I don't much feel like being known as someone that runs away from trouble." He chuckled a bit. "Maybe confusing conversations that go over my head, but I figured it's best if they had someone out on the street, and it was impolite to start staring around what with my short attention span and no idea what was going on." He looked at his Digi-Droid, and almost like it responded to him, the handle of the GeoGrey Sword appeared in front of him for him to grasp. Examining it, he had to wonder... "Shame we can't just go out and recover the other parts of this special program... Someone left these programs out in the Digital World for us to find, but with those Control Spires all over the place..." "Hmm...?" Nanami looked at the handle. "Did you just summon the handle without using your Digisoul?" He blinked, "Uh... Yeah, I did... I just thought about bringing it out, and it just..." "Hmm... So it seems my theory was correct. These unique programs, copied from the data of various legendary Digimon weapons..." Nanami immediately got to work on the computer, "Whoever created them designed them to be able to be used without the need for Digisoul. It must be a backup measure in case someone like the Digimon Emperor managed to figure out how to supress Digisoul. Unfortunately, the weapons cannot be combined with effects in the presence of the Control Spires, but they can be used on their own." Markers appeared on the Digital World map. "I have managed to isolate the locations of the item parts, and I can make recommendations for items that are outside the range of the Control Spires." "So, you're saying..." "They can be used against the Control Spires?" Keith smirked. "Not as effective as the Armor Digi-Eggs, but I guess that can't be helped." "Still... You do realise you're gonna be putting yourself in harm's way..." "The longer those Spires stand, more Digimon are gonna end up in the real world, and the higher the chance that someone is gonna get hurt," Keith said. "Anything we can get our hands on to combat the 'Digimon Emperor' and his damned Spires, I say we should make use of. Besides... Can't let you do all the fighting while I watch from the sidelines, that would be a tad unfair," Keith chuckled. Then he saw the black-haired young man and the Dracomon come in. "Hold that thought..." |
