"Ah, yeah, about that... Could any of you help my partner and I get back to New York?" Keith laughed sheepishly. "We're kinda staying there for a while since we're part of the US DATS division right now."


"And we've got friends over there who are probably worried about us."


"Sure, we can," Yolei smiled. "What have you two been doing over there?"


"Mainly patrolling for wild Digimon crossing the dimensional barrier... And I figured out how to use those programs, like you, Yolei," Keith smiled, and took out the two special item parts he had. "Keep an eye out for strangely-acting Digimon. Chances are they might have parts of special programs that can be used by humans and Digimon alike, and they're immune to the effects of the Control Spires, to my knowledge. I've got one part for the GeoGrey Sword and the Final Excalibur, each."


She gawked at the two parts, "Guh... You're already way ahead of me when it comes to the programs... NO FAIR!"


He sweatdropped, "Calm down..."


"I guess even if only Yolei can fight right now, those might come in handy for our Digimon."


"Guess so..." She nodded, devolving...


...back to her normal form.

In turn, Angemon closed his eyes...



...as he devolved as well; perching on TK.



"...we'll probably find a way to get you back to New York... but for now..." He winced again. "...we should... get back home."



"...oh, shoot; we forgot about that!"

"Right, true..." Kari nodded, helping TK, since he was still sore...


"Apparently, I missed one hell of a fight..." Keith mused.


"Yeah, well, we fought two jerks who could evolve their partners to Mega, one of them had an AK-47, TK here got attacked by a LadyDevimon, and the Digimon Emperor's real identity is Ken Ichijoji."


"No kidding?" They blinked, as they began to walk.


"You better believe it... Commander Sampson had to come in personally to save everyone's asses."

"It was a close one..." Patamon said with a small sigh.



"...we almost had him, though..." TK murmured.

[Candescence]

He placed a hand on TK's shoulder as they walked. "You managed to unmask the bastard. That's one hell of a step forward, you did good."


She looked at Vix, "By the way... What was up with your form when we were fighting? You had the strength of a Champion, but..."


"Oh, that... I'm not sure either, to be honest, but it feels more natural to me than evolving to Kyubimon," Vix said. "Fighting on two feet in close quarters with my martial arts is more my style. I guess it's kind of a reflection of that."


"Huh..."


"Still... We're in for a wild ride. We've got so many enemies, now... The Digimon Emperor and his lackies, Daemon, Prometheus and Pandora-"


"Whoa, you actually fought Promtheus?"


"Not exactly. Pandora spied on our meeting with Gennai, and he introduced himself... What a loon."


"He showed up in New York, killed a Monochromon in cold blood, deleted it... And then tried to kill us!"


She shivered, "How could someone be so heartless...?!"

"...how, indeed..." TK murmured, as he closed his eyes; thinking back...



"Food for thought... deny it all you want, but even the most pious beings can be brought down with one misstep... even Chosen Children."



Those words rang in the back of his head, and he closed his eyes. ...could there be something there...? His thoughts ran back to those two, Prometheus and Pandora... then the Digimon Emperor... was there any truth to what Leviamon had said?



"...though sometimes... bringing someone up could be an impossible task. Keep that in mind... I wouldn't forget it if I were you."[/b]

"...nothing." he murmured, as he smiled slightly. "Nothing's wrong, Patamon."

"Prometheus didn't seem all that human... He could use Digisoul, but..."


"There was something, well, off, about him..."


"Well... We'll stop him and his sister," Kari nodded. "We can't let them do as they please..."


"No way indeed!" Yolei nodded. "Let's get home so we can get some rest and help Keith and Vix get back to New York..."


They both nodded, as the group headed back to their apartment complex...

...though as they walked, TK shot one last glance at the place he and Kari had entered the Dark Ocean from. ...I need to let Izzy know about that place... With that, he followed the group back home.
