However, if they were to look around the area, they would find no spire visible. No, there was on here...but it was well hidden.  He walked inside of his saloon. "Hmph..." -------------- A few blocks down was a sheriff's station.  Which had a certain young man inside, still looking a bit stunned. "...." "Maybe a bit," said Brett, "I figure that the tower's got some sort of acquisition system or something..." "Why did I get you as a partner again?!" "Because two unlucky sons-of-bitches deserve each other's company," said Brett as they maneuvered carefully around the town, checking windows and doors for any sign of the tower, if it was in a building hidden somewhere. |
