"...that may be a good idea, right now; we don't want them to burn up too much energy." Sora hummed, as she held her Digivice up.

...they devolved to Rookie.



"...what about Zero and Cyberdramon?"



"No need to bother with Cyberdramon; that's his natural stage at this point."



He simply scoffed.



"As for Zero..." Tai hummed, as he looked at his partner. "...I don't recall you ever devolving in the past."



"I don't, either. I really just Digivolved and stayed that way the first time around, Taichi."

He started to glow...



"Wait! Hold on!"



"Hmm...?"



"WereGarurumon and I will set up the tents... with his build, I'm sure he'll be handy..."



"Ah..." He smirked. "I get it..."



"Meanwhile, Tai... maybe you can work out if Zero can de-Digivolve... we could see what his Rookie form looks like..."

"...I wouldn't know." Tai remarked. "Zero never devolved past Champion."



"So I'd still be Champion, even if we found out how to devolve me!"



"...it's like with Cyberdramon; it's his natural stage." Ryo mused.

"I see..." He said, rubbing the back of his head. "...I wonder what Zero's Rookie form would be if he had one...?"



"Veemon?" He asked with a chuckle, picking up a bag containg a tent to start putting it up...



He blinked and thought about it...



...imagining if that were true...



"Hmm... now that I think about it..."



"...I wonder if Davis' Veemon would Digivolve into a Veedramon..."



"Nope!! I Digivolve into a much better ExVeemon!! Ha ha!!!"

June rolled her eyes. "I doubt my little bro could possibly get as strong a Digimon as Zero is. The fates don't work that way."



"Didn't know you believe in that stuff."



"I don't. It's just my sisterly duty. You wouldn't get that."



She just giggled. "I guess we wouldn't."



"Right; I'll cook up the food. Anyone wanna help?"



"...I'll help out." Ryo shot in, as he gave Joe a nod. "I have some experience in the field."



"I bet you would, if you've been camping in the Digital World on your own." Tai mused with a chuckle.

"Glad you have faith in Davis..." He chuckled as he walked over to pick up another tent bag...



...while he started to hammer in the tent poles with his fist...

It was nearly an hour later when everything was done...



"That's done!" He said, standing up with a smile. "All the tents are up!!"



He sighed as he rubbed his head. "...and I'm going to have to take 'em down once it's morning... oh well..."

He glowed...



...and reverted to Rookie. "Matt, I'm hungry..."



He stood up and turned around. "Is everything ready?"

And as he had said that...



...everyone was ready for the meal.

He sat near the food, rubbing his hands. "Man, I'm starving..."



"This has been one busy day..." He chuckled, taking his spot. "Let's chow down and..."



"Hello? Anyone there?" Came a familiar voice. "This is Commander Sampson calling..."

"...oh." Humming, he held out his Digivice, which was receiving the call. "Hello, this is Tai. What's up, Sampson?"

"I'm checking up with you... I'm doing it in Izzy's place as he's currently exhausted from today's ups and downs..."



"Let's cut to the chase... were there any downsides after our last meeting with Izzy?"



"The Digimon Emperor was able to create a new Dark Ring that's shaped like a spiral... it's powerful enough to destroy the Light Rings and control Digimon beyond the Champion-level."

"...well. That's just great." Tai remarked dryly.



"I hope the others are okay..." Sora murmured.



"...same here..." Tai replied to her, before he looked back at the Digivice. "Any actual good news, then?"

"Mimi has been seperated from Mari thanks to your side."



"Yes!!!" He grinned.

"Thank goodness." Joe sighed in relief.



"That's really good to hear..." Tai hummed with a smile. "So what else can you tell us? Just give it to us straight; we can handle it."

He sighed. "The Emperor and Neon tried to take both DATS and DigiPol out..."



"They did?! How?!"



"Ken took control over Agumon with his new Dark Spiral and Digivolved him into ShineGreymon Ruin Mode."



"ShineGreymon Ruin Mode?!?" He gawked.

"Is there an echo here?" Tinkermon scoffed.



"...not good..." Tai remarked. "...but since you're talking to us, I'm guessing that you managed to fend off whatever Neon did to attack Digipol."



"What about Agumon? Did you guys manage to help him?"
