Folder Desert - Focus and Continue...

Leaving the place where the ruined portal leading to Odaiba was... the group of Digidestined arrived back in the sandy desert... away from Star City...

But, what Daemon did had left an aftereffect on them...



"Daemon had an alternate motive of sending those Digimon into our world, huh...?" He asked as he walked alongside Matt in the desert.



"Why else...?" He grumbled, keeping a tight leash on the backpack containing valuable stuff they need because they can no longer sleep in towns anymore. "The more I look at that guy, the more I have the feeling that when he puts a plan into action, it'll have a lot of help to him and hinderence to us..."



"Such as...?"



"Daemon didn't want DATS to be here, but only Digidestined... Why?" He asked. "Mostly because he wants a rematch against Tai and Zero... but, another reason is simple..."



"DATS has Digimon that go to Mega... which would help our quests go easier... and because we gave up our Crests five years ago, Digidestined can no longer Digivolve their Digimon beyond Champion again..."



"I guess that's why Daemon wanted only Digidestined to come in and not DATS..." He noted.



"I see... So, Daemon's latest plot with the Odiaba invasion had a hidden meaning for him too...?"



"...which was why Tai tried to get it out of Daemon earlier before he left with a damn cryptic comment..." He grumbled.

And right now, Tai sure as hell didn't seem content with discussing, as he and Zero wandered at the head of the pack...



...right next to Cyberdramon and his tamer, who was still keeping his face concealed from the group.



As she had been the only one who had seen his face, she kept quiet about it; knowing that the tamer had no intention of revealing his identity.



"...feh..." And she was bored, as usual.

Things were looking up, though; Nyokimon cheerfully giggled as Sora carried her, just waiting for her to Digivolve as soon as the opportunity would rise...



...while, in the meantime, the two of them were adamantly waiting for word from Izzy on how the Odaiba situation had been resolved.

He sighed, fiddling with his D-Terminal that the hooded man gave him back when they left...



"What are you doing, Matt?"



"Sending a message..."

Please tell us... anything has happened in Odiaba...?

Your message is important to us. Izzy is away from his desk, at this time. But he will answer when he gets back.

"OH, COME ON!!!" He yelled, looking at the message on his D-Terminal.

"No luck getting to him, huh?"



Tai merely looked down at his own Digivice; wondering if Izzy would either call or text them to tell them what was going on in Odaiba... but if he wasn't replying, things could be bad over there...

"Your message is important to us. Izzy is away from his desk, at this time. But he will answer when he gets back." He read the reply. "Argh!! You've got to be kidding me!!"



"Maybe Izzy went out to help...?" He suggested. "I can see Kabuterimon doing that..."

Peaking from Zero's back, "Well I'm sure this Itchy guy will respond, shortly."

"Gabo has a point. Just be patient, Matt." Sora remarked with a nod.



"...though with the atmosphere, I guess it's understandable why he'd be peeved..."

"I-I just need to know..." He said, closing the D-Terminal. "...need to know if everyone is okay..."



"Matt..."



"And it's Izzy, not Itchy..." He corrected Gabo.

"Oh uh..." Hiding behind Zero, "It sounded like that..."

"Hey, we all make mistakes." Zero laughed.



As she walked a small distance from Matt, she tried smiling a touch. "...I'm sure they'll contact us when the time's right for them." she spoke, as if she tried lifting the spirits a touch.

He was still silent about that... I wonder if he's okay...



...yeah, TK will be fine... he has either Angemon or Pegasusmon on his side... he'll be fine...



He arched his eyes to June. ...I wonder if she's worried about him...?



...Davis is her little brother... maybe he'll be fine too... dunno what Veemon would Digivolve into yet, but at least he has Flamedramon...



"...uh, Matt...?" He gulped, expecting him to be terrified of June...



"Right..." He nodded to June, still walking while pocketing his D-Terminal away...



....a...g..ain...? He blinked. That certainly caught him off guard.

Suddenly, Tai's Digivice beeped wild...before unleashing a beam that created a hologram screen.

They would see Izzy looking at them, with some people in the background in the city. "Tai! Can you read me? Can you even see me?"

Tai saw that, and swiftly nodded. "Yeah, we read you, Izzy. What happened back in Odaiba?"

Most of them gathered around to see what the commotion was about...



...but the two of them stayed their ground for now.
