"I'm not sure. There's no injuries from the group, or any civilians, but..."

"The whole invasion was a set up!"

"...figures..." Tai grit his teeth. "I knew Daemon was plotting something..."



"Do you know just what the purpose of this set-up was?" Sora uttered. "Please tell us..."

"Long story short, we got shown up. Daemon used a digivolve block and some Etemon used some kind of device to shut down both kinds of evolution... And then these 'Digi-Humans' showed up out of nowhere, slaughtered the entire army with ease, and the leader, this 'Professor Albert Raidriar' (who killed said Etemon with this weird sword) declared that his creations and this 'HYPNOS' firewall thing would replace DATS!"


"Basically, the Japanese government now want to shut off the whole Digital World from the real world... Though the US and other countries are already objecting to this, it seems, thankfully."


"The whole thing was a disaster... It was basically to make HYPNOS and the Digi-Humans look good in front of the Japanese government, and make us look like we can't do anything!"

"Well, we were all geared up and... WHAT'S JUNE DOING THERE?!"



"Long story!! Long story!! Just focus!! What happened?!"



"Daemon set up the Digivolve Block effect!!"



"Yeah!! We totally lost ShineGreymon, Rosemon and Aquilamon as a force!!"



"Digivolve Block...? That would explain why Daemon thought sending a bunch of Champion and low level Digimon against DATS was a good idea... he had prepared for that..."



"Even though we had eight Armour-level Digimon, some Etemon came along and sang a noise that turned eight into one!!"



"And then, those Digi-Humans came!!"



"Digi-what?"

"Despite the embarrassing set-back, we're all in one piece. But just to point out to you, you're all very close to the Digivice's location. But we need you to get it at a certain time. Timing is needed to rescue Mimi."

He perked up at that. ...Mimi...?



"Well... how are we going to know when the proper time is?" Joe inquired.



"I'm sure Izzy will explain that. He's found a method to reverse what happened to Mimi."



"He has?"



She just tilted her head blankly. "...uh... I'm kind of in the dark here, so..."



"Eh, don't worry; I'll write this down for you."



The two of them glanced back at the group discussing; Ryo still keeping his appearance hidden.

"Does the timing have to be important?"



"Very... if we wanna weaken Ken's enforcers a bit!"



"Enforcers...?"



"Yeah! Along with Mimi-brainwashed Mari, Ken has this blond-hair monster with a Keramon!"



"They can reach Mega!! He was willing to kill us!!"



"...this blond-hair monster... was his name...?"



"...Neon...?" She gulped, looking at Yoshino as this'll be news to her and Marcus...

"Digi-Humans... Remember the Bio-Hybrids? It's kinda like that, but weirder."


"There were two guys and two girls. The guys had energy weapons, blasters, laser sword, stuff like that. The girls looked like cyborgs, they had crazy weaponry, one had a huge axe, the other was a walking arsenal. They tore through Champions, Ultimates and Megas alike."


"And then there's their creator... Albert Raidriar. I think this is the guy who Prometheus and Pandora work for, but we don't have proof right now. He's a Digi-Human as well, and he one-shotted that Etemon with his 'Infinity Blade', and said sword even absorbed the Etemon's data!"


"At least this is good news... We can free Mimi soon..."


Then he paused, when he heard a certain name... "NEON?! NEON HANAMURA?!"


"... Oh, boy."

"Gennai discovered that once you get the Digivice, not just Tai will get it, but those who had the Digivice will. That includes Mimi's avatar, Mari. Gennai created a program that will allow those who have the proto Digivice get it as well. I also made a program to split Mimi from her avatar, in the Digital World. This program has to hit the moment her Digivice configures into the new one."

"...so until the program's ready... we can't actually grab the Digivice." Tai remarked. "Otherwise, Mimi's going to be stuck with the proto Digivice..."



"...so, how would we activate the program?"



"Well-"



"...you're kidding me."



"...huh?"



That was literally all that was said before Yoshi recalled Lalamon and practically stormed off. Too much bad news in one day would do that to someone...



"...uh... is she going to be okay...?"



"...I... hope so..."

He looked at his Digivice, silently. "...so, we can upgrade our Digivices...? Like how TK and Kari's did to theirs?"



"I'm getting nervous now..." He gulped.

[Candescence]

"Oh, hell..." He sighed.


"That should be about right..."


"As Izzy said, timing is vital..."


"I'll have to talk to dad about how we're gonna deal with the Digisoul block issue, as well... Maybe he can make a new type of iC or something."

[AnT]

"Well looking at the data of those Control Spires, that's going to be difff-" Looking away from the screen. "Uh, we gotta go. I'll contact you the minute we're in position."

And the hologram flicked away.

"...hrm..." Tai hummed, as he still held the Digivice. "...you heard him."



"...so we can't grab the Digivice before this program's ready, hm?" he hummed. "...I suppose that's a good thing. We can set camp by the location of the Digivice, and until the time's right, perhaps focusing on collecting the Tags could be beneficial."



"...he's got a point." Gomamon remarked.



"Yeah; we kill two birds with one stone that way."
