DigiCity Dojo Grounds: Set the world on fire!

Brett was dragged back to the central training area behind the main dojo by Andorra.

"Andorra, what's going on, what exactly are you trying to show me?" asked Brett.


"I know a battle techique that's going to help you learn to hit that changeup. And, maybe, toughen you up! It's something I haven't used in a LONG time, since back when Prometheus, Pandora and I were the only ones..."

She smirked and started glowing, as wind whipped around her.

"You ready?" she asked, jokingly.

Brett nodded and got in a batting stance. His was very loose, very natural, and he held the bat at a slight choke.

"Let's do it, then!"

Brick hopped off his leg and watched as suddenly...
The entire ground around Andorra lit aflame.

Even Brett had to gulp at his girlfriend.

"...jesucristo..."


"You ready?" she asked, the flames flexing around her (In this mode, Andorra's flames act as an extension of her body, and are therefore calculated by power rather than mental).


"As I'll ever be."

Andorra then pulled a fist back as she looked like a pitcher in the windup.

"Then let's see if you can take the heat. HOW ABOUT THE FOUR-SEAMER?!"

(Four-Seam Fastball: Andorra's normal attack in this mode, it fires flames straight at an opponent, and can be blocked normally.)

Brett swung as the 'fastball' went right over the imaginary plate- DECKED IT!


"Home run, Andorra!" he smirked, sending the flame tongue flying backward several hundred yards.[rand=485723978374153479736484587192545591217798646544100768850184977]

(By the by this isn't necessarily a fight. At the moment, Damage will not be calculated as usual; it's calculated as a function of how badly Brett's doing against Andorra's pitching.)

Andorra wound up again for another pitch.

"Alright, so you can hit the fastball, that's what I thought. Now try THIS!"

Her throwing motion was very deceptive, it concealed the ball almost all the way through the throw. However, Brett managed to catch a glimpse of it as he was lining up to swing-


KNUCKLEBALL!? asked Brett mentally, surprised that someone with heat like that knew a KNUCKLER

(Knuckle Ball: A deceptive attack that's hard to dodge because of the lack of direction imparted, it bypasses any speed check and goes right for defense. As it happens Brett has good defense, but to anyone with speed it's more than a surprise!)

Brett fouled off the pitch, knocking it to the side, and he sighed a bit of relief.

"Wow that was nuts..."

Andorra stopped flaming for a moment.

"So wait, you could foul off a knuckleball but you'd swing and miss on a changeup?"

"Think anything important is going on with the others?"


"We're in another thread! We technically can't hear them! Ah, well! More training for us!"

Andorra lit on fire again.

"You ready for some more?"


"Heck yeah, light it up!"

Andorra threw two fastballs, one after another.

First one was a complete swing and miss; he couldn't catch up to it at all.

The second one he smacked over the back wall on a hop, creating a divit in the ground for a ground rule double!

"Sheesh, that's a heck of a cannon you've got there!"

"Wonder if anyone saw that?"

"Hey, how're you guys doing?" He came out.

She came out, annoyed. "Could you PLEASE not set my dad's back courtyard on fire, you two?"

Lex would be surprised to see his sister, well...kind of on fire refer to the events and picture above.

Andorra tried to torch Brett again, and Brett simply smacked the hell out of her 'throw', sending the tendril flaming backward again.


"Home run! Try getting that fastball by me!" smirked Brett.

Andorra chuckled, looking at Lex.

"Fine... just getting in some batting practice," she said, flames around her. The fire was LOUD, as if an entire forest was ablaze.
She frowned at Vix.
"Don't worry, it only burns what I want it to burn! Otherwise Brett would be a cinder right now!"[rand=6911604774650186385867308126762535235466482117771094930530525744]

"Whoa!" He stepped back. "Right, uh. You do know you're on fire...right?" He looked at Vix. "You guys got a fire extinguisher around here?"

[Candescence]

"Ah, I guess it's kinda like my flames when I'm in Feral Blaze mode," Vix chuckled. "Well, that's good. Wanna come inside? Dad wants to take us all through training exercises, now."

Andorra chuckled and the flames disappeared.

"See, Lex, you don't know everything about me," she smirked, "I haven't done that since I was one of the original three...none of you would ever play baseball."
She smiled a bit.
"Prometheus was a bigger clod than my boyfriend. He ALWAYS missed the changeup..."


"Clod?" moaned Brett, walking over, bat on his shoulder, "That's not so nice..."


"It's alright, Brett, I love you anyhow..." she said, kissing him, "Let's go, then, Vix."


Brett chuckled and kissed her back, arm in hers. "Still have to get to that changeup you promised, Andorra."


"Oh, don't worry, I will! You hit that, you can hit anything."

"Oh, right..." He sweatdropped. All the more reason not to get on her bad side. "Let's head in then." He lead off.

[Candescence]

She chuckled, leading them inside. "Alright, then."
