"Well...that I can't help you with," said Goku, blinking. Oh, he was interested in digital females- Riza, of course. But not humans, and she was too young.
"Maybe Sam here would-"

That would be Sam yanking Nyoikinkobou out of a surprised Goku's hand and smacking him over the head with it.

This got a laugh out of her.


"The both of you might make a nice couple, though," Sanzomon chuckled.

"If she has a sex drive issue, she wouldn't want to date me; she wouldn't be getting any."


"Right, you're the religious type," he said, snatching back Nyoikinkobou from Sam.

[Candescence]

"Aw..." She pouted, though it was obvious she wasn't too upset, she had already figured THAT out.


"Of course, where should she go after this... Is Windslow one of the Japanese operatives?"

"Lemme check..."
Sam looked up Keith on the digivice.
"Says he's with DATS US, and he works with a couple other guys...some guy named Brett, mostly...huh."


"What?"


"There's an alert out on this Brett guy. His digivice is inactive. In fact, there are two alerts out...that Kaz kid I met earlier is apparently with DATS now, and his digivice is gone, too?"

[Candescence]

"... Inactive? But right now, they're in-"

Then she stopped talking, realizing that what she was about to say was, well, EXTREMELY confidential. "Ah... I can't say... But they're fine, I think."


"... You cannot say?"


"Believe me, it's best that you don't know unless we're in a place where we can't be observed..."

"This sounds suspicious as hell."


"...Wait, what the hell? You know something?"

[Candescence]

"I... I can't say. The person who spoke about it explicitly asked for you to not find out yet, Sam."


"Hmm. Curious."

"...It was my dad, wasn't it?" asked Sam, "I know he was here and then he was gone...and he wouldn't leave without talking to me unless he had reasons..."


"Your dad's in the military, right? What could they have to do with this?"


"I dunno. I'm just a private as of yesterday. It's not my job to know anything."

[Candescence]

"Yeah, it was your dad... He even asked to tell you sorry for leaving so soon, and that he loves you and all that..."


"But such information of such great importance... I suppose it is not our business to know unless it is necessary."

"Still, what could the military want with two random DATS US operatives?"
He blinked again, "Oh, and there's another missing digivice belonging to a Thaddeus Wyatt, but he's not an official member."


"So two operatives an another kid go missing someplace where a digivice can't be tracked after a military guy shows up?"


"Yeah, this is weird...but if it's eyes-only, then I can't ask..."

[Candescence]

"I guess you guys might find out eventually..."


"Still... Perhaps you should go with Keith back to the US."


"I... I'm not sure about that. I would feel awkward being around Keith... And There's several strong tamers here who could keep me in check if something goes horribly wrong somehow."

[BlueLoneWolf]

"Nothing's going to go horribly wrong as long as you don't do anything," said Goku with a shake of his head, "But at the same time, you're probably right. Sticking around Riza and Sanzomon would probably be best."


Oh, dear, this only mean issues for me...

She frowned, "Riza... We haven't talked... Would she hate me?"


"I doubt she would, as long as you don't give her a reason to."
