DATS HQ - Give us SOME Hope...

"And you've just got here..." He dryly said.



He got up. "Commander, can Veemon and I go to the training room...?"



"To help Veemon Digivolve...?" He asked.



"Yeah!! If we do it now, then DNA Digivolve is possible!!"



"That'sh right!!"




"NO, I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT!!!" He snapped.



"Ugh..." He shook his head.



"Everyone must be in a meeting right now..." He said. "Once it's over, I'll bring you in..."



"Timing is everything..."



"Including bringing in a gun dog?" He dryly asked.

The soldier sighed, shuffling a deck of cards he had brought.

"Could you please at least explain whether this is a current event or an after-action report?" asked the Lieutenant Colonel, "And I would hope that your son is actually checking on mine, considering that if what Kudamon said is right, and DATS is under attack by a combination of forces, Samuel might be in danger."
He frowned, leaning against a wall, still idly shuffling, "And a digidestined that is apparently evil? My that's an issue. I'd have to explain that to my superiors and ask that of my adviser later, though he doesn't have much experience in said things."

"I swear... those two will be the death of us all..." Maxxine groaned, leaning on a console.

"...well, you don't need to jump in, Spencer." Miki noted. "She dismissed the SkullGreymon after this girl showed herself, but before she vanished, she fired a blast of darkness at the goddess; which sent eight symbols flying off. One into the murderer, and two into a pair of Digimon..."

Masaru, as it happens, was at a console, trying to contact Sam... But... "Can't track his digivice signal?! What the hell?!"


Suddenly, a familiar face flashed on screen, via a transmission. "I could help you with that, if you like, Masaru."


"NANAMI?!"


"You seem rather surprised. I've been assisting Dr. Daimon in setting up DATS US. It's been rather interesting over here, to say the least. Ivan is here, too."


"I... I wouldn't tell Yoshi about that. She's pissed off as it is about Neon showing up again."


"Noted. At any rate, Megumi is correct. At the moment, the serial killer's whereabouts are unknown, and nobody involved is seriously injured. And we know what happened over on your end. A distressing series of events, indeed. We're sending over a few operatives via digi-port... You'll see why when they get there, it's good news."


"I guess... What else?"


"Unfortunately, we've had a bit of bad news on our end as well. One of our operatives was attacked by Lilithmon and implanted with a 'dark crest'..."


"A... A 'dark crest'?! Is that even a thing?!"


She then remembered what Leviamon said, and gulped. "Oh, yes, I think so... Leviamon said that the Crests can be corrupted..."


"And there's something else, too... It's related to the 'Digi-Human' issue... You might want to take a look at this. It was the result of an incredible buildup of Digisoul, unleashed by a single individual..."

The screen flashed with a clip of footage, shooting an area just outside the limits of DigiCity, which was mostly forested... Then, a massive explosion of pure Digi-Soul erupted from a spot in the forest, and like a tidal wave did it rocket throughout the forest; absolutely annihilating every trace of life in the radius of the explosion. Though thankfully, the explosion's radius seemed to end just at the outskirts of the city. However, as the flash of Digisoul faded, the entire forest area that had been in the blast radius had been reduced to a barren wasteland; with no sign of life as far as one could gaze in that direction...


They were rendered completely speechless by this display.

A digi-port would open near the group- likely the operatives Nanami was sending over. What came out was...well...unexpected to say the least.

They're being introduced now, we'll backfill as we go considering you guys are impatient


"Well, this'll be interesting to explain," sighed one voice; a really deep bass that Mr. Daimon would recognize.


"You're telling me..." said another voice- female, unrecognizable.


"Let's just hope we can help!" sounded like a kid. So probably his digimon.


"Indeed. Hopefully Nanami will simply alert me when the rest of the parts arrive so that I can sign for them."


"Never been here before...wow, so this is DATS Japan."

From the portal emerged two young men, one that looked like an adult, the other, a teeenager; a Coredramon, a Bearmon and...a digihuman?!


"Oh, hey there, bossman! We've been looking all over for you! Wouldn't be an issue if you stayed in one place," smirked Brett, looking at Mr. Daimon, "Brett Barrett, digi-destined, DATS US, at y'all's service."
So his was the deep voice.


"I haven't been here in a while!"- his Bearmon, riding on his shoulders.


"Excuse me, but I am looking for Master Norstein," said a young man in glasses with fine clothing, "Thaddeus Wyatt...temporary DATS consultant."
He held what looked to be the start of a piece of machinery and a large folder.


"Err, I'm Abraham Wessex, from the village of the same name, his partner."

And then the digi-human held up something even more surprising- A DATS BADGE?!


"Andorra, DATS US," she said with a smirk, "And I've got something that's going to make your day."
She waved a folder in the air, handing it to Mr. Daimon. When he opened it, he'd find a summary of the rescue mission and hand-written and hand-drawn profiles of all the digi-humans known.

The entire time, Lt. Col. McCall was eyeing the new arrivals, but he didn't move. He knew about the digidestined and his Bearmon, but other than that, this was unknown. They must've kept it off the record....

He stared at the boy and his large dragon Digimon. "...well, you can either tell us why you want Thomas for after you DE-DIGIVOLVED YOUR PARTNER TO ROOKIE IF POSSIBLE!!! YOUR TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE!!!"



He sighed. The events today are taking it's toll on Kudamon.

"Calm down, ya little snake." he warned Kudamon. "And quit cutting up people." Shaking his head, he glanced at the officer. "What does it look like?! That was live. Now-"

And then came a large red reptile, with glowing happy yellow eyes. "Oooo! I knew I smell lots of Digimon!"

"Guilmon, stop running off!" the boy shouted, catching up with him, in the room.

"Hmm...?" He looked at Guilmon and his partner with a curious look.



"Little... snake...?" He blinked. Better than scarf, he admits to himself... "Look, we need space in here and..."



"Hey, breadwings!!" He called after Guilmon as he entered the room...



"A Gargomon?!?"



"I thought you wanted to eat, not sniff out lots of Digimon like a bloodhound!! Ah, never mind..." He stomped out of the room. "If anyone needs me, I'll be doing handstands right now..."



"...unless...unless... oh, I'll calm down, Spenser..." He sighed, going limp on Sampson's shoulders...



"What wash that all about...?"


In the hallway...



...he was doing a handstand, grunting and groaning...



"Well, that's one way to make an entrance..." He dryly remarked.



He sighed. "Sorry... too bad when he Digivolved, his big mouth doesn't shut up... I think it made it worse..."



"That, I can see..."

"...uh..." Miki blinked, and looked towards Spenser. "...so, what'd you need to know again?"



All of them just let out an exasperated sigh from the ensuing chaos.

A few other figures popped out of the digi-port...


"Sorry, you'll have to forgive Thad, he's been too focused on stuff to remember to devolve Abraham... And we've got more than a bit more space over at our HQ."


Keith chuckled, "Sup, everyone? Keith Windslow, for those who don't already know me."


"And I'm his partner, Vix," she smiled, wearing her athletic gear. "Don't touch my partner, lest you want the Crest of Lust to start screwing with your head."


"And I'm Ashe," she smiled. "Yeah, what Vix is saying is about right. It's pretty nuts."


"Well, it's nice to see a few more friendly faces."


"Crest of Lust...? So that's the dark crest that Nanami was talking about..." Kari mused.


"Yeah, that's the reason I'm here. We figured one of the original Digidestined would be able to help with that, so I could either control it somehow or just get rid of it entirely," Keith groaned, rubbing his temples.


"I'm surprised she didn't turn you into a girl, again..."


"She did. I changed back almost immediately for some odd reason. And then, during the trial I had to go through to get the second GeoGrey Sword part, I was turned into an Agumon for a short time..."


"Believe me, it happened. Couldn't believe my eyes."


"Same," she chuckled.


"... What."


She snickered, "Okay, as crazy as it sounds, I'm not gonna doubt ya. Funny as heck, though."


"It's not funny..." He grumbled...

Then Guilmon came running in, followed by the gun-toting rabbit...


"What the heck...?!"


"Oooookkkaaaaayy..."


She blinked. "Okay, that's no Digimon I've ever seen before..."


"Certainly not in any of the records."


"Huh..." He blinked.

"Oh great..." he was not in the mood to deal with a crowd. "Okay, those who have US issues, we'll talk about it in the conference room, right now. Japan issues stay here. That means you, Kari and Yolei."

Lt. Col. McCall simply gave Spencer a cool look, shrugging.

"Not as far as I can see. You might want to take that folder that the young lady is holding, though," he said idly.
Thad devolved Abraham, who simply snarled angrily at Kudamon.


"That is enough, Abraham, we are here to be friends, not enemies," said Thad, though he was obviously non-plussed.


"Sorry..."


"Either way we're here to help y'all with this dilemma if at all possible."


"I kind of want my brothers and sisters back, though that's going to be a bit of an issue."


"They're brainwashed!"


"I'll follow. Where's your Commander-General?" asked Lt. Col. McCall, "I have to brief him, too. The top three of you, Commander Sampson included."

But they all waited for Spencer to leave for the meeting room.

They both gave Liollmon a very odd look. "Like everyone doesn't bunch up their characters..."


"I guess there's no point arguing... We'll catch up on things a bit later, I guess," Keith said, heading to the conference room.


They both nodded, following him.


She frowned, watching Keith walk out. I don't like this... If he's got a dark crest, TK and I better talk with him about it as soon as we can...


He sighed, sitting down. "Well, things are getting interesting, at least..."

"...interesting...?" He sighed, shaking his small head.



"I'm sorry, Lt... I'll join you later... I think I need to hear what is happening here first..."



"For example, why do you need Thomas for...?" He asked Thad.



He sat down, deciding to try and get Veemon to Digivolve after this meeting is over... he has to do it!!



"I'm getting a headache from all these sudden arrivals..." She groaned.



"And we didn't even hear what Izzy will say before they came in with their own information..." She sighed.



"Don't worry... just wait, Kristy..."


In the hallway...



"...who called me a gun-toting rabbit?!" He darted his head... upside-down.



"Well, you do have guns..."



"But, I'm not a rabbit!! I'm a dog!!!" He snapped. "Terriermon!! Gargomon!! I'm no rabbit!! I don't hop about, do I?!"



"When Guilmon puts your pants on fire, you do..."



"That was different!!"



He sighed, turning to Thomas and blinked. "Sir, why are you laughing....?"



"H-He accepts that he's a dog, while you don't accept yourself as a dog, Gaomon!" He laughed.



"..........." He blushed.
