A slow chuckle escaped his lips upon hearing MirageGaogamon's theory. "...wouldn't that be fitting..." he remarked, as he closed his eyes. "...but I would've refrained from bringing that egg back, if I were you."



"...what...?" Rosemon uttered; as it slowly dawned on her what he was talking about.



"...the Digivice NEOs. They were... manufactured by DATS, were they not? Yes... I distinctly recall passing through there before being shipped off to a shop..."



Rosemon gawked. "...you... downloaded that information while being shipped in a Digivice NEO? But... that's... impossible! We never had-"



"-any reports of a security breach around that time? Of course not; I didn't touch anything, after all... I just remembered. Remembered the hate I feel for DATS..."



Rosemon slowly grit her teeth.

He floated there, thinking carefully... "...when a non Digidestined's Digimon is forced back into a Digi-Egg... there's a slim chance they won't be able to retain their memories... however..."



"...there have been cases when a Digimon remembers their previous life love..."

"...excuse me?" Rosemon uttered upon hearing that remark.



"One partnered to a lost jungle cub who presumably still pines for a mentor taken from him far too early... the other partnered to a self-righteous brat who cannot take a single step without reaffirming his stance that everything he says is correct."



Her eyes widened from beneath her flower veil, and she hissed. "...be silent!"



"Between them and the hot-blooded, blithering baboon who can't even keep a conversation steady without referencing 'the soul' or 'fighting spirit' or whatever such nonsense, I'm surprised that DATS hadn't been annihilated before now!"



"Shut up!"



"...and then there's your partner..." His attention fell on Rosemon. "...the simpering, useless wench who, even with at least six years of experience, found herself constantly needing to be saved by those who were supposedly beneath her... whether that is the fault of her partner being an absolute waste of digital space, or that of her disgusting incompetence at her field of duty, I cannot decide on!"



Rosemon was seething. "Shut the hell up!"



"It is a shame that I didn't leave her channel open... just so she could hear the sound of your puny body being crushed and broken in my grasp, before I'd turn my warpath to her and wring the life out of her frail, pathetic, useless body!!!"



"...BASTAAAAARD!!!"[/b] She took all she could handle; with a shriek of fury, she rocketed right towards Diaboromon with a punch...

In that instant, he suddenly shot his clawed hand right for Rosemon's abdomen...

...and with the sickening sound of flesh tearing, a massive hole had been torn open in her stomach; Diaboromon's massive claws protruding from her back. "...kkh..."



"...fool... now, die." Without even letting up, Diaboromon fired a trio of powerful blasts of energy right at Rosemon...

"ROSEMON!!!" He yelled out in horror. He chased after her to catch her away from the molten lava...

"Rosemon!" He shouted too, but let Miragegaomon help her. "I won't let this stand!" He growled at Diaboromon and dashed out at him fast, and lashed out his claw, spinning like a drill. "Spiral Raven Claw!"

The drill drove itself against Diaboromon's chest, but with a cold chuckle, he merely gazed at Ravemon. "...you shall be next, vanguard of Merukimon..." With that snarl, cannon blasts erupted against the raven warrior as well.

And thankfully, MirageGaogamon was quick enough; grabbing Rosemon just before her body would have crashed and sunk beneath the boiling magma beneath them. "The Diaboromon who was defeated by Omnimon five years ago was much better than you..." He added. "You, on the other hand, just held on to some petty grudge because we stopped you from your stupid actions that would have thrown your partner into jail for breaking laws..."

He smirked. "And this is the full scale of your revenge...? Using dirty tactics because you're afraid!!!"

"..." He watched them both silently, waiting for a proper moment to strike.
