DATS (Cyberspace) - New War Game!

As the trio of Digimon shot through the database servers, they could see the damage done to the area; in stark contrast to the general, if destructive childish mischief caused by the original Diaboromon, the damage here was so much more malevolent in nature; vicious chunks torn out of the data itself, as if the attack was one of pure spite.



"Unbelievable..." she murmured as she flew through; witnessing the damage to the area. "...Yoshi, you see this, right?"



"Of course." she hissed. "If we don't stop him soon, the damage is going to be impossible to repair..."



"We'll stop him before that." she hissed.

[Ninetalesuk]

"I want all of you to be careful, though..." He said. "If this Digimon is who we think it is, then..."



"I understand, sir..." He grunted as he flew through the network. "We'll take him down!! I promise!"

[kelik]

"Agreed." Said the raven ninja. "Between the three of us, it shouldn't be too difficult."

"I don't think so either, Ravemon."

"...just be on your guard." Rosemon uttered, just as the three of them flew through a tunnel...

...and when they emerged... well, needless to say, if there was a hell on earth, the culprit had done a fine job replicating it. Firewalls had been ruptured to resemble actual geysers of molten rock, and a hellish red hue coated the dark atmosphere that lingered in the cyberspace.



"...gods... he caused all this damage?" Yoshi spoke as she witnessed this.



"...damn..." she hissed, as she looked around. "...be careful. He could be anywhere around here."

[Ninetalesuk]

He growled, narrowing his eyes and glancing around...



"Remember, this Digimon required Omnimon to beat him..."



"Wish we brought Kentarousmon with us now..." He grumbled, raising his claws up for battle...

[kelik]

"Right, hear that, Ravemon?"

"Loud and clear..." He looked around the area silently, trying to sense out the culpit.

Gazing around her, she grit her teeth. Admittedly, this was incredibly tense... they could risk an ambush at any point, with no way to avoid it.



"...we can attempt to survey the area. Give me a mo-"

In that instant, however, the feed to Yoshi, Thomas and Keenan was abruptly cut off.



"...Yoshi?!"

[Ninetalesuk]

"Thomas...?! THOMAS!!!" He growled. "...damn it... he's near..."

[kelik]

"...he's cut us off from the others, most likely to restrict Burst Mode." His sight tightened. He can almost sense him out himself...

"...perfect..."



"...the stage... has been set."



"Hn?!"

At that point, another firewall ruptured to spew forth more magma; though something else climbed out from within...



"...this will suffice for the moment... a triad of Mega Digimon to feast on..."



"...Diaboromon!" She swifty got in a stance. "Here on behalf of your tamer, huh?"



"A means of vengeance. Neon has been gracious enough to... let me cut loose." he chuckled, as he extended his hands out towards the chaos he had caused. "...and cut loose... I did."

[Ninetalesuk]

He just growled, glaring at Diaboromon. "...we knew it..."

[kelik]

"Of course..." His eyes narrowed and got in a stance too.

"...it was obvious..."



"But efficient. The damage done to your databases is a mere bonus; my true goal is to be rid of the worms who would dare to make a mockery out of my tamer."



"...I figured that you'd be sour over what happened to Neon..." Rosemon hissed. "...but what I still don't understand is this; how did you remember Neon's past? We sent your Digi-Egg back to the Digital World..."



"...I suppose we could call it a combination of dumb luck... and your mistake."



"...our... mistake...?"

[Ninetalesuk]

"Our mistake...? Every single Digimon that has been reverted to a Digi-Egg loses their memories so they won't commit the same crime... so, how did you remember...? You can't be that close to Neon... can you...?"

[kelik]

"....." He remembered Agumon retained his memories, even after he went back to egg form. But the odds of that were low. "...so then, what was our mistake?"
