Thad...didn't look so hot. He'd never handled a spear before and a couple hours of doing it made him just feel even more stupid. Empty arms but a lot of scuffed clothes. Abraham felt sorry for the kid. He simply didn't have anything he seemed to be able to do at all.

Thad frowned, still annoyed.  "What's the point...I'm not going to learn how to hunt with a spear in two hours. I shouldn't be so mad but I'm already pissed at myself...I've got a head full of useless facts and half-baked ideas that I can't even make work right. I'm just a failure for this kind of work." Abraham went over to another chair and curled up. He'd like to comfort Thad, but right now...eeesh. |

She nodded, and got started... It took a good hour or two for them to do it, but over the long haul, Thad learned quite a lot from her in just that amount of time. |
