Sam and the others arrived outside of Marcus's house. Because of the whole thing that happened. They got PLENTY of looks because Goku, Riza, and Sanzomon were following them, but a few flashes of DATS badges and iCs got them to go away.  "So this is your place, Marcus?" asked Sam. Well, other than the fact that I somehow got yanked into a gigantic mess involving several very powerful digimon that want to destroy humanity, a madman, a bunch of strange items connected to artificial digimon ANOTHER madman must be making, a partner who's actually a partial reboot of a Royal Knight that ordered the death of three thousand of my countrymen. Not to mention that the commanding officers of this place are a flaky old man, a loony ex-cop type that probably got kicked out because of temper problems, and a former Royal Knight that seems to be intent on ripping everyone near him to shreds at some point. Oh, and that's not on top of the fact that my teachers in this whole mess include a monk with a rack that totally doesn't befit her position (and shouldn't she be some sort of sister or nun anyhow?), a man-child that skipped all of secondary school to run about punching dangerous creatures in the face, a sarcastic swearing Monkey King that thinks more about booze and fighting than I likely even know about, and a frigging digital angel of all things! Not to mention I sleep on a hard-as-hell cot in an American Embassy because no one knows what to do with me, the food here is fricking strange, and somehow I spontaneously learned Japanese or everyone learned English?!?! That, and I barely have learned or done anything, I'm stuck with a bunch of over-experieneced people that at least partially view me as an unwanted intrusion on their activities, and the fact that I'm scared shitless that I'm going to DIE at any moment! Other than all that, I'm doing AWESOME!!!... "I'm coping alright, ma'am, thanks for asking," said Sam simply, not a single other ounce of any other thought coming through on his mouth or on his face. Aaren thought much the same, but simply said: "I am fine, Mrs. Damon, your concern is appreciated."
