Well the major one is the fact that Mahiro is a ten year old girl with zero training in how to defend herself. She's like Jade from Jackie Chan Adventures, she can and will get in trouble easily.

History:
Mahiro was born the youngest of three, but doesn't remember a thing about her mother. She was very young when her father died in that aircraft crash and doesn't really remember anything about him. But she grew up alongside Kaz, while their older sister Kasumi took care of them both. Seeing those two at low moments drove her to act more grown up, and take up more tasks around the house, such as learning to cook and clean. But she constantly argues with Kaz about "acting her age" and whatnot, the two are almost at each other's necks until Kasumi steps in the break it up. When Kaz left to join DATS in New York, she started missing him and Bitmon. But there's no way she can possibly do anything about that............right?
