Kari is a kind, sweet girl who, despite her appearance and her polite nature, is an emotionally strong girl, who isn't one to hold a grudge unless someone had done something particularly horrible. An optimist even at the worst of times, hence her affinity with light. She's also outgoing and really likes to make friends, and tries to see the best in others whenever she can.

History:
Hikari was present when Koromon appeared to her and her brother, which resulted in the battle between Greymon and Parrotmon at the base of their apartment complex. She was so young, she even thought it was a dream, for a time...
Well, that is, until another fateful day, when Tai and Agumon appeared at their new apartment. Kari actually remembered her brother's partner, and was sad to see them go shortly after. She was also quested by Thomas and Yoshino, who decided not to erase her memory. Fortunately, they were right to not do so, as soon enough, Myotismon attacked Tokyo, searching for the eighth Digidestined - Kari herself, unknown to all but herself, until Wizardmon figured it out. Until then, Gatomon had been hanging around her, and Kari acted kind to the cat Digimon, up until they discovered they were partners.
However, Gatomon was captured by Myotismon, who used her to try and identify the child he was looking for. Wizardmon sacrificed himself to protect both Gatomon and Kari, and Kari found the will to activate her crest, allowing Angewomon to defeat Myotismon, and after that, help Tai and Matt evolve their partners to Mega level to defeat VenomMyotismon.
Their next battles were against the Dark Masters. At one point, Kari fell ill with a fever, much to her brother's horror, and they attempted to find medicine for her, and thankfully succeeded. When the battle against Piedmon occured, at the end, only she, TK, and Patamon were left, and she was able to watch her friend activate his crest, and prove vital in Piedmon's defeat.
A few months later, she was involved in several events, including Merukimon's appearence, Kurata's attempted genocide, and Yggdrasil's attack on earth. Kurata's evil was something she simply could not stomach - for a little girl like herself to see and experience the events of a holocaust was, quite frankly, a traumatizing experience for the poor girl. However, she came to accept what had happened, with a new determination that she could try her best to stop such a tragedy from ever occurring again.
Five years later, after giving up her crest and having to learn Digisoul from Masaru's father to compensate, she's now eager to get involved in Digimon Online and make peace for both humans and Digimon...
