"ANIKI! You alright?!" Agumon asked frantically.


"Guh... I'm fine!" Masaru groaned, as he got up. "We're in deep trouble, though..."


"No kidding..." Gatomon grumbled, as she emerged from out of the bushes, rushing towards Tai. "Tai! I've lost my holy ring! I can't use my full power anymore!"


"And judging by what's going on here... I'd say nobody can!" Keith said, as he ran up.


"HEY! Stay away from the girl!" Vix said, as she used her Power Paw attack on the plant Digimon who had been constraining the french girl.

"YOU IDIOTS! We're all gonna...! Where's Davis?" Yolei asked, as she ran up.


"I have no idea, but we better make a tactical retreat, fast!"

"Hang on, guys!!" he cried, bolting out of the hedges, with his Agumon, hurrying toward Marcus. "I'm here to-GAH!!"

His Agumon tackled Davis away from the charge of a large dinosaur.


"You shouldn't even be here!!" he protested to Keith. "WE shouldn't be here. This-"

And suddenly, rings shot around...

Snapping on the necks of Tentomon, Patamon, and Tai's Agumon.

While Patamon dodged Floramon's attack...



...as the rings snapped on their necks, they froze.



"No!" Tai hissed...

...when all of a sudden, his Digivice began shining wildly, which...



...caused the ring to just detach from Agumon's neck completely.



The same literally happened with TK's Digivice...



...which freed Patamon from the ring bound around him. "...whuh?"



"...our Digivices... stopped the rings from working?"



Looking from his Digivice to Agumon, who stood there a touch bewildered, Tai nodded. "...looks like it..." Then he looked at Tentomon. "...but Tentomon..."



"Argh!" Suddenly, Agumon bolted towards the group with the girl in tow. "We gotta get out of here!"[rand=9949969383507905453065957892991875180580474782336568704974936104]

She didn't expect the Renamon to pop out and slam her in the face. She tumbled back a bit.

HP: 25 - 4 = 21

She ran behind the group, watching. "Don't hurt Floramon too much! She's my partner!" The poor girl cried out.

But it did very little to slow her down from attacking Vix with her vines.

"I'll aim for the ring, then!" Vix replied to the girl...

Vix grit her teeth as the vines hit her, but she pressed on, rushing forward, and immediately tried to grab the dark ring, and snap it off Floramon's neck.

"Sorry... I just didn't feel I could just do nothing!" Keith said to Cody. He looked at Vix... Wow, she was pretty tough...


"That's no excuse to do dumb things! Sheesh... Hey, are you even listening to me?!"


"Selfless and brave of you, but you don't have a partner to protect you, especially not without Digisoul!" Masaru said, as he immediately rushed towards Tentomon, and tried to break the ring on his neck.

"Oooo!!!" Before he knew it, Tentomon slammed to the ground; remains of the ring shattered. "Oh, my poor trochanter...."

"Guys, we can't endure this!!" he cried, spotting all the controlled Digimon marching toward them. "We have to run!!"

Shaking his head, Tentomon fluttered off the ground. "I know a place we can hide!!" And he flew off.

"C'mon; follow Tentomon!" And Agumon barged right after the insect.



As he left the girl behind, Tai gave her a nod. "We have to get out of here for now." he said, as he glanced towards TK and Patamon...



...who both looked at the marching Digimon with a look of disdain, before they ran after Tentomon and Agumon.



"...c'mon, let's go!" And Tai ran for it as well.

The plant gasped out when the fox managed to break the ring. She stepped back a minute and blinked, as the redness disappeared. "...huh? What happened?"

"Floramon!" She ran up and hugged her.

She hugged back. "Cathy...sorry..."

"Well well, they can break the rings' control? This won't do at all..." He tisked.

"Time to fix this problem." He snapped his fingers...

And suddenly, the swarm cleared a bit. Showing a large Digimon stomping it's way over.

"You're welcome..." Vix chuckled.


"That was so cool!" Keith chuckled, rushing over to Vix. "You're a great fighter!"


She blushed, "Ah, it's nothing... My dad runs a dojo... I've learned a few tricks from him..."

Then came the big beastie. "Oh, hell. I am NOT fighting that."


"Agreed. RUN!" Keith said, as he and Vix bolted after Tentomon.


She screamed at the top of her lungs, as she ran, as well.


They immediately bolted, as well, despite wanting to take on that big beastie...

And with them going through the hedges, under some thick canopy, the controlled Digimon lost them. Most of them refused to go into the hedges, while the fliers couldn't see them from above.

Meanwhile, in the woods, they would come across a cave.

"Oh what a shame. And I was planning to throw a party in here." he muttered, fluttering inside.

Panting, he nervously looked back. "I think we lost them."

"...for now, at least..." Tai uttered, as he caught his breath.



Both of them were lying down on the ground and heaving for air on their own.



Glancing behind him, TK narrowed his eyes. "...who could do something like this...?" he murmured.

She breathed a bit hard too. "I do not know, these rings appeared out of nowhere and Floramon..."

"Sorry about that." She looked around. "I couldn't control myself at all."

[Candescence]

"Whoever it was... They're getting one straight to the face!"


"But... How could your Digisoul not work, Aniki...?"


"Dad would know, if he were to analyze the tower... The problem is, would be to disable it..."


"And we don't have the firepower to do that... Great," Keith said, sitting down.


"I wish I could do more, but..." Vix said, sitting down next to him.


He then took notice. Those two... Maybe they're natural partners? This'll be interesting...


"Whatdowedowhatdowedowhatdowedo?!"


"Calm down, and figure something out..."

"Man..." he growled, clenching his fist. "This totally blows!! Dude is really ticking me off!!"

"Why would you even come here??" he shouted at Davis. "You could've gotten yourself killed."

Flinching, he shrugged. "What? Tai was in trouble, and I have a Digimon too."

Suddenly, came the image of Izzy. "Yet, your Digivice can't filter darkness, like ours can. Neither can Marcus', but he has experience." Glancing at said DATS member, "Oh thanks for the save, even though my Digivice would've ejected that ring. My laptop was linked to Tentomon's optic sensors, and I had my Digivices attached to my laptop."

Tai heaved a slightly relieved sigh upon hearing that. "You're preapred for anything, aren't you?" he commented.



"...but if none of us can Digivolve our Digimon to Champion..." TK sighed, as he looked at his own Digivice. "...then we're pretty much outgunned."



"We can handle them!" Agumon quickly said.



"...I don't know... there were a lot of those brainwashed Digimon out there..." Patamon murmured.
