"Hey, save the reunion for later; we've got Bakemon to take care of!"



"...oh, boy." Joe groaned; somehow, this seemed very familiar.



"...hm." With a cold scoff, IceDevimon swiftly faded away as well.

He growled as he saw IceDevimon fade away... he knows that brute will return... he knows it...



"Garurumon!! Sora!!" He called out as he came into view.



"Matt..."



"...where's Biyomon? Wasn't she with you?!"



"...tell you about it later! Right now, let's take out the Bakemon!!" He turned to the Digimon and unleashed his attack. "HOWLING BLASTER!!!"

Each targetted ghost were slammed by the exploding attack, shattering them to data bits. But that left six more, who now lashed their monstrous hands at the Digimon.

Crying out, with the energy boost from his enraged state, Zero just swiped his hands at the bats once to make them disperse.



Actually having to command his partner seemed strange to Tai to begin with... but as he suddenly recalled another memory he didn't really remember... "...attack with V-Nova Blast! Straight upwards!"



"You got it!" With a roar, Zero swiftly inhaled, before firing out a beam of energy at where the bats had come from.

Explosions erupted all upon the Bakemon group, while a fiery blast burned another to crisp. All left were two more...who all panicked and flew off through the ceiling.

"AAAGH!!!" The energy beam managed to accurately catch the vampire, who was hiding in the darkness. Burned a bit, Vamdemon dropped to the ground.

"Wow..." He was in awe, amazed at how Zero brought Vamdemon down that easily... last time he saw a Champion do that was TK's Angemon on the stronger Myotismon...



"We got rid of the Bakemon!"

Without hesitation, Zero immediately stomped directly in front of Vamdemon; snarling. "...you're gonna pay!"



A quick thought shot through Tai's head. "Stun him with Hammer Punch!"



"You got it!" Without hesitation, Zero threw a powerful punch right for his gut.

With a grin, Zero clenched his hands together. "You know it, Gabo!" he laughed.



"...good job, Zero." Tai remarked with a light smile... but inwardly, he was a bit annoyed that Zero's raw strength had locked them out of potentially getting Vamdemon to tell them about Daemon.



Joe heaved a relieved sigh. "...thank goodness..."



"...wait." Sora's eyes shot open, as she noticed something...

...namely, Vamdemon's data particles. Rather than gathering into a Digi-Egg... they were absorbed.



"Aaah... such a delicious treat..." As it turned out, the culprit was IceDevimon, who effortlessly sucked in the remnants of Vamdemon before the Digidestined's very eyes.



All of them gawked at this act the cold demon was commiting before them.

The deadly and scary sight of the ice demon frightened the canine reptile enough to zip behind Tai's legs.

"D-Devimon...?" He gawked in horror.



"IceDevimon..." He corrected Matt. "Same level, but much more evil than Devimon..."

Sora merely glared at this demon.



"...I do have to thank you, Taichi... for allowing your partner to destroy that bothersome vampire." IceDevimon chuckled as the last bits of data from Vamdemon had been sucked into him. "Honestly... I would have finished him myself, just to savor the kill... but the spoils of war are a nice bonus."



"Cut the crap!" Zero snarled, as he clenched his hands. "What'd you do?!"



"I merely absorbed his data." IceDevimon chuckled, as he smirked. "...because of this... his data forever lingers within me; never to be reincarnated."



Tai's eyes widened considerably upon hearing that.



"...so... y-you..." Joe, too, gawked in realization. "...you killed him!"



A callous chuckle escaped his lips. "Eat or be eaten, child. That is the rule of Folder... I simply choose to interpret it literally."
