It was two hours after the group left the creepy town the next day... ...and where are Tai, Zero, Matt, Gabumon, Joe, Gomamon, Sora... would Biyomon's egg be hatched on that moment...? ....and Gabo at the moment? Simple...  "A desert...? A freaking desert again...?" He grumbled as they walked through the sandy area...  "It really does feel like the old days, huh Matt?" |

 The Digidestined weren't the only one in the desert. Course there was other digimon out there, one in particular watched them high from a cliff, his eye peering at them under a cloak. "The Digidestined.... Seven young kids went to camp for the summer and wind up living in the digital lands.... only there's not seven at the moment." The god of thieves chuckled, waving a hand, "Oh still, the lord has been given this land, and he'll be please that these little teens are playing the game of feeding the darkness. Oh, let misery slowly enter their hearts." |

 "Hey, no need to be grumpy about it, Matt." Tai remarked with a light smile. "As long as we get to the river, everything will be fine."  "Just one long stretch to the 01..." Sora mused, as she kept the Digi-Egg safe and sound.  "...yeah, that's well and good..." Joe groaned, as he was walking through the sands. "...but... it's kind of hard to stay just as optimistic as you are, considering..."  "Considering what?" As it turned out, Zero was carrying both Tai and Sora as he was walking without a hitch on his way.  "Considering that you're a personal bus for Tai and Sora?" Gomamon remarked. She smiled sheepishly. "Well, Tai offered to let Zero carry me as long as Biyomon's egg remains unhatched, so..." she remarked. "And I couldn't just let Taichi walk on his own, right?" Zero laughed. "...I guess that makes sense..." Joe sighed, as he glanced back at Gomamon... who was catching a ride on his back. "...for some of us." "Don't slack off, Joe; we've still got a couple of hours to go!" "...great..." |

"How convenient!" Quickly, Zero began barging towards that town. "Whoa!" Both of them had to balance themselves not to fall off the charging Champion. "...alright... let's hurry, then." Joe groaned, as he wiped sweat off his brow. "Drain our stamina a bit more, why don't we..." "Don't whine; it builds character!" Gomamon laughed. "What kind of excuse is that?" Nevertheless, Joe did pick up the pace so they wouldn't be left in the dust after Zero. |

"I should start playing too." The cloaked one laughed. Casting off some black dust,  Oinkmon emerged and as they were heading into the desert, their bodies began to change shape. "Now... for my role in the game." Hermmon laughed, grabbing his cloak her hurled it into the air.

He too stared at Matt with puzzlement. And the closer they got to the city, the closer Tai and Zero would see the familiar city...a futuristic city, called Star City. |

Zero lit up brightly at this sight. "Star City!" Tai could only gawk at this with wide eyes; as memories came flooding back to him. "...a city like this was in the desert all along?" Sora uttered with wide eyes.
"A little late to be bringing that up, Gabumon." Gomamon remarked, as he grinned. "We're almost to the town anyway, so it'd be wasting a Digivolve." "Guh." Joe groaned, as he kept heading for the city regardless. |

 "HEEEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!" Matt, Joe and their digimon would hear a very familiar cry.  Right behind would be two Minotaur-like digimon,  and a certain fairy digimon, though with red eyes.  The girl they were pulling and chasing through the desert would shock the boys too! |

"C'mon; maybe we'll see some familiar faces!" And Zero rushed towards the town. "Ah- wait! Shouldn't we wait for Matt and Joe?" "I figure they'll be riding back here on Garurumon soon!"
"WHAAAAA?!" Joe gawked at that sight. "...hang on... how'd she get fixed up again?" Gomamon blinked, as he glanced at Joe. "Wasn't she under those Dark Tower's influence still?" "Well- uh... w-we gotta help her regardless!" Joe called, as he glanced at Matt. "Right?!" Gomamon hummed, as he glanced at Lilymon. ...I dunno... he thought. |

He blinked, looking at Gomamon... as if it has triggered something. "...she was... wasn't she....?" Because he was with Matt all the time... he caught on Matt's skeptical... wait... could it be...? ACK!!!!"Mimi!!!" He yelled, holding up his Digivice. "Gabumon, hu-" "WAIT!!!" He called out. "Gomamon is right!!! She was suppose to be brainwashed as Mari!!!" "So?!" He snapped. "Hurry up and..." "Also, how can Lillymon be there?! Mimi was one of the eight, including you and Joe, to give up the crests!!!" He added. "We can no longer reach Ultimate!!!" "Well, I..." "And another thing, how can they still be under the power of the rings when there is no source nearby like those towers because Daemon destroyed them all?!" "Your point?!" He snapped.
