Brett turned and picked up a piece of debris roughly the size of a baseball. He tossed it up and down in his right hand as he held the egg in his right.
"Oh, I am stopped," he said, face grim, "I'm rather sure that I have an agreement to uphold."

Brick nodded rapidly, preparing himself to fight.

"We'll cover your escape!" he said to the others, brow furrowed.

"Let's get him!"

Brick started with a flurry of punches.

And Brett, of course, yanked that arm of his back and threw that debris, hoping that even without digisoul he might get lucky.

His partner followed too.

"Jailbrea...!" He saw the attacks coming.

Just in time to defend against them. He laughed as his eyes glowed red. "You boys are in over your heads..." He threw a punch out at the bear.

Much to the Starmon's surprise, Brick smacked down his punch with a nasty look in his eye.

"We aren't," said Brick, "We're going to take you down!"


"We've got more than a bit of work to do, and we won't back down!"

Brick unleashed another flurry of punches.

"You're going down! Even if I have to do it myself!"

Leaping out of the machine and onto her shoulder, Sari then took off. As she did, he spotted a water tower...something he didn't remember being there. "Hmmm..."

His immense defense managed to help defend against Bearmon's attacks. "Sorry, but you gotta do bett...AH!" But the rock caught him off guard and hit him right in the eye. He stumbled back.

He stopped running and looked back. "Brett! You gotta watch yourself! This guy's got a move that ca..." Suddenly, two bullets fired on the ground between Sari and Kaz, surprising them. "!"

"Heh, sorry we're late, Starmon..."

He looked over, holding his eye a bit. "Tch, bout time ya showed up..."



"Avengemon."

@avengemon@ The creepy short being spun his long barrels. "The gang just sent me ahead to see how you were doin'...good thing there's something ta do today." He grinned wickedly.

Brett glanced between the new figure and the Starmon.
But he didn't have any doubt in his mind now. He'd stuck himself behind the plate. Time to strike out the side.


"Brick..."


"Yeah, Brett?"


"Let's kick some ass," he snorted, picking up another chunk of rubble, "Immaculate inning, let's go."

Brick nodded. He didn't exactly know what it meant, but if Brett was referring to his baseball career, it must be serious.


"I don't care how many ugly S.O.Bs you throw at me. I've seen more intimidating MAC lineups," said Brett, fist tightening around the piece of rubble, "I'm going to get us out of this jam. Bases loaded no outs bottom nine. Let's go."
He would've bloomed digisoul if he could, but his grip on the egg tightened. "I'm going to get this thing to work. Because I'm going to take you both down. With or without it."

He heaved another stone at Starmon, and Brick fired off another four punches right into Starmon's chest.

He was taken by surprise when one of the bear's punches broke through. "You runt!" He threw out a few punches of his own at the two of them.

But Kaz kicked his hand away, letting him miss Brett entirely.

@avengemon@ "You PUNK!" He growled out. "That was my favorite revolver!" He hopped off to grab it.

"Kaz?" He looked up.

"Everyone's here because of me...I'm not gonna run." He looked over at Brett. "I'll watch your back, Brett. I won't let any of you die here because of me!"

"Kaz...right!" He came up. "I'll do the same!"

He smirked. "Good..."

Meanwhile, a figure stepped up to Ivan and the others...

Brick was surprised when Brett did something incredibly reckless and stupid. Well, not surprised that he'd do it because it was reckless and stupid, per-se, but that it might kill him.

Brett took the punch meant for Brick just fine, but the second one pounded into him.
Brett winced and grinned, blood leaking from the corner of his mouth.

"Come on, I've taken bigger hits than that from short-ass shortstops trying to knock me off the plate," said Brett, spitting, getting down into a catcher's stance to mock Starmon, "You can't beat the Walking Bruise. We're going to beat you! I'm not going to lose!"
That's when he swung a piece of rebar with rubble on the end right at Starmon.

Brick wound up for a massive swing, paw glowing. "KARATE FIST!"

(Karate Fist: Bearmon's strongest move, it doubles his roll for a single turn because of the power within those hands. This attack can only be used once per engagement, and only once per attack round alone. Brick also takes five damage regardless because of the strength of the attack also hurts him.)

Seeing that newcomer, Ivan's eyes narrowed. "...we're not in the mood for sudden arrivals." he remarked.



"...we still haven't taken out the tower, so we can't do much against him..." Michael remarked.



"...that won't stop me." With a grunt, he stomped towards the Digimon, and threw a solid punch at him.

Suddenly, something shined from Brett's person. From him, his Digi-Egg floated from him, with a brilliant hue...and shot over to his Bearmon.

"You sure about this?" she asked, hiding behind a barrel cart.

"As if this town could afford any water?" he scoffed, shooting a pebble right onto the base of the water tower.

He rose his arm, blocking the rubble again. "Heh, nice tr...!" But the bear claw definitely went through, and forced the Star back into the ground.

He stood up, hatless, his ring showed around the top part of the star, along with his red eyes. "...that does it. I ain't messin' round no more." He cracked his knuckles and rose his hand up to the sky.

@avengemon@ "EH?! You're doing it NOW?!" He jumped and ran inside a barrel.

"!" He gasped. "Oh no...Brett! You gotta run! He's calling out a ton of meteors right now!" He looked incredibly worried.

However, it was too late. The sky was already being filled with various stars aimed straight for town.

Meteor Shower: Takes a full turn to reach, but when it does, Mental is doubled. (Can only be used twice per thread)

"You pests'll regret ever rearin' yer ugly heads round these parts!"

However, Ivan caught the fist and narrowed his eyes a touch.



"...say the word when you feel like you need me."



"Yes." With a nod, Ivan thrust his fist against the rogue Digimon again.

"YOU CAN DAMN WELL SHUT UP!"

The egg flashed as it smacked into Brick, and the pair turned white, then purple, then...

There was a massive bellow as what sounded like a HUGE elephant trumpeted where Brick used to stand.

Well, he was still standing there. He just looked completely different now.




"ARMOR DIGIVOLVE! WARMAMMON!"

HP: 50 (Currently at 45 now)

Defense: 18 (+2)=20
Mental: 3

Brett even managed to blink at that.

"So I've gone from having a bear to a gigantic mammoth. Cool!"

A massive ice hammer-head formed at the tip of Brick's new trunk.

"HAVE A TASTE OF THIS!"

(Attack: Glacial Hammer! This is a distance attack calculated by power, as the projectile is never disconnected from Brick, acting as a long punch. He can only make two swings (or dice rolls) a turn, though.)
