??? (Alaska): We're off to see the Wizard

There were a few major roadblocks in the way. Several of them biometric locks that the Major had to open, several of them ones with other passwords and such, but, eventually, they came into a computer room where a man was standing waiting for them.
The Major saluted.

"General, these are the ones that Lieutenant Col. McCall brought."


"Ah, so this is them. General Arnold Zobrist, Deep Waters program," he grunted. Kids and child digimon. Boy. This is an uphill climb.


"Brett Barrett, Kaz Fuudo, Andorra, Lex, Thaddeus Wyatt, Abraham, Brick, and Bit."


"General, pleasure to meet you, sir."


"The same, sir."

Brick and Abraham both looked nervous as they said-

"Pleased to meet you, sir!"


"Pleasure, General."

[kelik]

"Sir." He nodded his head.

"Heya, sir."

"SIR!" He saluted too.

"...." He'd open his mouth at that, but...

@reiner@ The captain silently saluted, passing a glance to Kaz. 'Bit too informal, don't ya think...'

The General gave them all an equally unimpressed look. Then again for the most part he didn't think most civilians were worth half a shit anyhow. Equal-opportunity hater.


"Alright. I've already let ENIAC2 know you're coming. He's standing by."


"Do I give this to you, sir?" asked Brett, pulling out the SD card.


"No. Hand that to him or Thoth directly. I don't want any live copies around here."


"Err, right."

The whole room had computer banks along the wall. Old ones. Looks like this was ENIAC2's original housing. Some of it had been modernized, though. Zobrist watched through live flatscreen monitors.


"He should be opening a portal shortly. I will not be accompanying you."
The general looked at Reiner.
"Up to you whether you go or not, Captain Endymion."

@reiner@ "I'd like to accompany them, sir." He had his reasons.

He looked at the computers. "Hm."

"Understood, Captain. Be aware I might ask you to be pulled at any point in time."


"So....we're going to meet...an ENIAC...do we call him that, General?"


"Unless told otherwise by him, yes."


"Guess we wait, then..."

We've got to wait until CS is done with his post for the fight going in DATS, then we can get back at it.

@reiner@ "Yes, sir." He nodded.

"Well I could pl..."

He looked over at him, arching his expression. As if to say: "Really? Now of all times?"

"Err, nevermind. Probably shouldn't take that long anyway..."

[Candescence]

Then, a portal emerged near the sets of hardware, slowly opening, a figure visible on the other side...


"Ah, interesting... So you're the visitors I was told about... I finally get to meet two of the Digidestined."

Strangely enough, it was a sharply-dressed man in a suit.




"I am ENIAC2. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Dude, sweet suit. Like the tie, too."

Thad facepalmed, and the General merely shook his head. The Major, however, chuckled.


"I expect nothing less than custom Armani-based, but really, Brett..."


"Whoa....you're...ENIAC..."


"Pleasure to meet you, too..."


"Ah...pleasure....ohmygoshit'ssomeonewhomadeanentiredigitalworld..."


"Err....can we...come in?"

"Weren't you in Super Robot Taisen Z?"

@reiner@ "No one's gonna get that..."

He blinked, a bit surprised. "Huh, nice suit..."

"Yeah. Wonder where he gets it pressed."

[Candescence]

"Thank you for the compliment. Now, come with me." He turned around, heading into the portal.

Brett, Thad, Andorra, Brick, and Abraham all nodded, took their things, and followed. The Major saluted General Zobrist again, and she followed with them.
