"This is something Sampson and the others won't be happy about, huh?" He asked Kristy.



"The fact that wild Digimon were able to sneak in here...? Yeah..." She sighed.



"YEAH!!! WAHOO!!! AWESOME!!!"



"Hmm...?" She looked through the hole in the wall...



...too see him jumping up and down in joy. "AWESOME!!! SIMPLE AWESOME!!!"



"I feel bigger!! Stronger!!"



"And faster?!"



"...uh, no. Sorry... I guess that's been downgraded..."



"Oh........ but, still........ AWESOME!!! EXVEEMON!!! SO AWESOME!!!"

Glancing towards Davis, TK couldn't help but chuckle.



"...hrm..." With a slight hum, Yoshi approached the blade that Zanbamon had dropped; gripping it with narrowed eyes.



"...whatever those chains are... they're an unfamiliar sort."



"...well, if Digi-Soul breaks them..." Digi-Soul flared around Yoshi, and she suddenly yanked roughly on the blade to rip it out of the chains.



With a hum, Angemon closed his eyes...



...and reverted to Patamon. "Phew..."

Naturally, Sam easily shattered the chains...

Yoshi's attempt worked, shattering the chains, and sending out more vision, which became increasingly vivid with each set of chains being broken... And she would be able to claim the hilt.

"GAH! That hurts!" Kari groaned.

"Still... We can't just have these things hanging around... Don't worry, it won't take long..." Silphymon said, grasping the chains around the high-tech part... But no matter what he did, the chains wouldn't budge. "What the...?!"


The decided to split up, each of them trying to break the chains seperate... "Maybe there's a weak link here..." "No, you need sharp claws!" "I'm not sure that would-"


"Gah, lemme try..." Yolei pushed them aside, and tried using her Digisoul to break the chains... No dice. "WHHHAAAAAATT?! But... Keith, Sam and Yoshi could...!"


"Interesting... Some can break the chains, but others cannot..."


"Hmm..." He blinked, coming over, and trying his luck... And it worked, shattering the chains. "YEAH!"

He chuckled, giving the part to Yolei. "All yours, Yolei. I don't need it."


"Um... Thanks..." She clutched her head, groaning. Ugh... What ARE those visions...?!

She sat down, clutching her head, Oh, no... Every time those visions come, I feel like I'm dying... And it keeps showing HIM... But that's not possible, he's gone... Is he...?


"Are you alright, Kari?" Riza asked with concerned, walking over.

"Sheesh..."


He chuckled, looking at Davis. "Congrats, mate! Now you just gotta figure out whether TK or Cody is your fusion partner."


Cue Davis figuring out that he's not going to be able to fuse me and ExVeemon in three, two, one... She thought, as she went to comfort her partner...

"...a fusion between his ExVeemon and Angemon...?" Though TK was concerned about those visions, he decided not to reveal his thoughts about it.



Patamon hummed. ...curious, but something tells me that Davis would vehemently refuse such an opportunity...



Weighing the hilt in her hand, Yoshi hummed. "...something like this could come in handy..."

"OK... Now that's wack!! Why didn't Silphymon split into Baby-Level Pururumon and Rookie-Level Salamon like it happened in the show?!?"



He didn't hear Keith as he was too busy celebrating...



He heard and started sweating... "Uh..."



"Flamedramon may be faster, but ExVeemon is stronger!!! And the best one of all, he can fly!!! I can ride on ExVeemon than just run about!!!" He kept on going. "This is cool!! This is awesome!!"



"I wonder how it'll be until he remembers I can't maintain Champion form with Ken's dark towers about...?" He grumbled underneath his breath.




"What do you make of Davis?"



"Uh... a looney?"



"That's my first impression too..." She smirked.



"While I agree that ExVeemon is stronger than Flamedramon, I do not believe that ordinary Champion Digimon are better than Armour Digimon... I believe Armour Digimon would have abilities not yet accessed..."



"...It's kinda weird to hear you speak so wisely..." She smirked.



"Comes with being a ninja."



"Still, I think you should get your Gazimon to Digivolve... just in case Shurimon is not up for the job..."



"Always good to have a back-up Digivolution..." He noted before rubbing himself. "Although, I wish I can still become Garudamon..."



She stood in silent. ...Gazimon's Champion form... I've only unlocked this Digiegg today and now, I'm thinking about making Gazimon Digivolve normally?! Geez... I know Ken's Bunomon can't Digivolve... but, Makoto's Kunemon can..........



"Kizuna...?"



She looked at her partner. ...I should take it slow... he's strong as Shurimon, so I won't bother myself with his ordinary Digivolved form at the moment... "It's nothing..."



"If you say so..." He nodded.



She walked off. "We'd better find Ken and Makoto..."



"Very well..." And he followed...

He looked at the two other sword hilts, still restrained by chains... "So... Is anyone gonna claim those parts? Or am I gonna have to do that?"


"Oh, leave 'em for someone else, Keith, you've got enough as it is."


Vix, having devolved back to Rookie, remarked, "I think Kristy should get the one the Liamon dropped... And the other one is Davis', in theory..." If he stops dancing and starts paying attention...


He examined the hilt of the sword that the Liamon dropped... "Huh... I think this is part of BanchouLeomon's sword..." Beat. "All yours, sis!"


"Eh?! Aniki, you ain't gonna...?"


"She earned it, and I don't need a sword," Masaru smiled. "Go on, break those chains!"

He looked at Yoshi, "There's three other parts of that, Yoshi, if you want to get the others, they're guarded by Digimon like the ones you just took out... Though, apparently, some of the item guardians turn you into a rookie Digimon as part of a test, though I'm not sure if that was a one-off thing that Keith happened to run into."


She sighed, sitting down, "Sheesh, this has been one hell of a day..."


"You said it..."


She crossed her arms, "Tch... If someone was able to port all those monsters into DATS HQ..."


"That someone is, obviously, very powerful indeed..." Sanzomon mused. "Seems all of us will need to be far more vigilant."

Patamon just let out a sigh.



Yoshi simply scanned the hilt with her Digivice, and like other weapons of its kind, it was brought into the Digivice.



"...so, what now? This training session took a turn for the bizarre..." Rosemon remarked with a hum.

"Except for him..." He dryly noted to Rosemon, pointing to...



"THIS WAS THE BEST TRAINING EVER!!! EXVEEMON!!! YOU ROCK, YOU RULE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"



"Oy..." He facepalmed...



She walked over to the sword that DexDorugamon left behind, broke the chains and threw it to Davis. "Catch!!"

"OOOOOOOOOOOW!!!"



"...was that needed?"



"Somebody had to bring him back to reality... don't worry... the sword isn't broken... it just landed on Davis' head."



And he sweatdropped...



...as she hummed happily, breaking the chains on Liamon's sword and sucking it in.



"...you can be scary sometimes, you know that?"



She smirked...

FINALLY, Aaren returned to Kotemon form, shrinking back down to his normal size.


"Darn, I was hoping to stay that way for a bit longer..."


"Sam-"


"Right, Master Goku."

Aaren was then immediately buffed up to Dinohyumon again.


"Well, that was most intriguing. I think I like fighting in that form..."
He looked down at the tattoo on his chest.
"Though somehow I feel as if I need a poncho or something..." he said, "This is strange looking..."


"Sure we can get you something, kid. Now, both of you, you alright?"


"Yeah, didn't get hit. You fine?"


"I'll be fine once I get something to eat and take a nap," grumped the martial arts master, "It's noon and we skipped breakfast to train."


"Speaking of training, CS, of all the things for you to forget after our player bugged you about it would be the Shinka Points...."


"He seems to be forgetting a lot of things lately..."


"And of course he brought up Sekhmet just as he was going to sleep."

So, yeah, Davis got the hilt of an odd-looking samurai sword...

And Kristy got the hilt of BanchouLeomon's sword.

They both cringed from the visions that breaking the chains caused...


"Well... I was hoping to get Izzy's input on my Crest..."


"I think he's as clueless as the rest of us, pal. He outright said he didn't even know there were such things as 'dark crests'."


"A 'dark crest'...?" Sanzomon blinked, as she approached Keith, and examined the Crest of Lust. "Fascinating... This is Lilithmon's magic, no doubt."


"Tch... Her again?"


"Do you know anything about it, Sanzomon?" Vix blinked.


"Though I am but an Ultimate... I could remove the Crest for you. But..."


"Uh-oh, there's a catch..."


"The Crest cannot be destroyed so easily... It will draw out your lust and manifest it into a physical form for it to inhabit in order to survive."


"So... Another thing we're gonna have to beat up... I suppose that won't be too hard, we've got Marcus and Yoshi here."


He sighed, "Do it."


She nodded, extending her scrolls around him, muttering words under her breath, as magic surged through Keith's body, the Crest glowing rapidly...

And then it shot out onto an empty space on the floor, dark Digisoul surrounding it and rapidly expanding into a humanoid figure...


They looked at the figure tensely, prepared for a fight... But what they saw surprised them.



The young woman, estimated to be around Keith's age, was unconscious on the floor.


"Is... Is that Lilithmon...?!"


"That's not Lilithmon..."


"Indeed, she is not... In fact, she's human..."


"HUH?!"

"Aaaaaaaaand how is something going to respond to this vvery unusual BLAM...?"



"Oooh..." He groaned, leaning against the wall...



"Uh... should we head home, Davis?" He asked. "Today has been a long day..."



"Yeah..." He moaned, rubbing the back of his head. "Let's get out of here..."

And with his D3, he recalled ExVeemon... along with the hilt of the sword.



...and quickly made his leave while rubbing the back of his head without noticing what was going on...

"OK... We'll be going now..." She dryly noted. "Aquilamon...?"



"...S-Sure..." And he glowed...



...reverting to Rookie.



Grabbing Biyomon by his wing, she quickly made an exit...

"I second the little guy, what the hell?!"


"...Sanzomon this isn't my department, you can handle it," said Goku, dragging Sam and Aaren behind him, "Call me when you need me, we're going to train elsewhere."


"Err, right-"


"Indeed!"

And the three left.

"...I'm inclined to agree. Just... what."



"...right..." Groaning, TK rubbed his head a touch. "... I think... we'll just head off for now." With that, he and Patamon took to leaving the area.



"...I... have no words." With a sigh, Yoshi rubbed her temples. "...Sanzomon, right? I'd appreciate it if you... well, took this kind of trouble out of here. I need to get the training room back in shape after that battle."



"...so if you could take this elsewhere, that'd be appreciated." Rosemon sighed, as she rubbed her neck. "Especially since I figure that Yoshi's going to go back to training now..."

Well, that ended up being far more confusing than intended...


"I suppose it is best that we take the girl to the infirmary."


"Yeah..." He sighed, scratching his head... And then he glanced at the girl... And his eyes shot open. "Oh, hell. Where's she gone?"


"What do you mean? She's right... There..."

If this was an anime, there'd be a blinking white outline showing where the girl's body used to be. Obviously, in the confusion, it seems she had woken up, and, well, left the room...

Beat.


"CRAP!" They rushed out of the room, intent on chasing her down.


"Oh, dear..." She sighed, walking out.


"Well, that was strange and a bit confusing..." Yolei said, as she walked out with Kari...


Both of their partners followed as well.


"Yeah, this took a turn for the strange," Masaru said, walking out with Agumon in tow.


"The Crest creating a human vessel for itself was unexpected, but... Rather clever, I would say, none of us would be able to consider 'disposing' of her like they would a Digimon..." Sanzomon remarked, as she left as well.
