"Indeed, let us move!" Sam and Aaren both moved toward the thing, with Sam actually using his new ability to dash around in the air to its rear...no weapons back there! Aaren took the same cue.  HP: 40 Power: 15 Speed: 10 Defense: 12 Mental: 7 DP: 40  HP: 40 Power: 16 Speed: 12 Defense: 14 Mental: 2 HP: 70 Power: 20 Speed: 14 Defense: 13 Mental: 20 Sam put both fists into pounding this thing's back. He concentrated again, using that digisoul power to heal what wounds he could. (Used Resolution Heal- 10DP exchanged for 10 HP. HP=20+10=30. DP=40-10=30) Aaren, however... "I think it's time we intervened!" he said quickly, blasting off on a cloud, tackling Aaren to the side. (Goku: Power) [dice=20] (Aaren: Defense) [dice=14] While Aaren managed to avoid damage, he and Gokuwmon got out of the sweep of the guns. (Battle technique: Somersault Cloud- Gathers clouds and flies through the sky at high speeds. If used as a technique in battle, the following happens/is part of the ruling. 1. Gokuwmon can only use Somersault Cloud in battle twice before the jig's up and the enemy can catch him 2. In order to rescue someone, Somersault Cloud must be calculated as an attack on the victim. 3. In said attack, if the victim takes damage, it is calculated normally. 4. Regardless of whether or not the victim takes damage, both Gokuwmon and the target are immune to damage from that attack round. 5. Both Gokuwmon and the target of said rescue cannot attack in the turn during which the rescue takes place. 6. This maneuver cannot be done on consecutive turns.) Gokuwmon and Aaren ended up in a heap, but Sam was still kicking, and this time he wasn't going to get hit. He used his new technique to actually jump on top of the Tankdramon. Holding onto a red fin on an exterior cowling, he was free of all attacks that wouldn't include firing missiles at itself. With his free hand, he pounded away. At least some of his digisoul returned- (+1 turn, +6DP gained, DP=30+6=36) Of course, he then used that same digi-soul to try and prevent himself from getting plastered onto the thing's back- at this range, he couldn't dodge, either! Sam got up and walked over- using the Somersault Cloud- Digisoul-based technique because he needed practice... "Tsch...stupid metal-plated menace..." "And yeah, if those are them, then I'm right to drag Sam out to Sanzomon. I'd like to get a hold of the other ones holding the items but I suppose Sam'll have to do as a representative..." Goku smirked. The group had done well...Sam showed some resiliency...Aaren still needed work, but that was a terrible matchup for him. "Well, time to give these chains the ol' heave-ho..." Sam tugged hard on the chains, digisoul flaring up. "Gerroff my component..." |

A few more minutes went by, and Sam checked a watch that he had brought. "I know that there was a red alert...but it'd be nice to get an update...hope they're all alright..."  "I have a sinking feeling about all this..." Goku thought. "Let's get moving. It might be best that everyone forgets you're here right now." "I don't think we should be moving without Marcus and Yoshino...they're expecting us to be here..." "Right, but if something went wrong, and I've got a feeling it did, it's best if we keep you concealed. You'll be a secret weapon...and you've got a lot of work to do. Aaren!" "Yes Master Goku?" "You're up! Sam can do the carrying for now!" "Of course!" Aaren and Goku started fighting again, while Sam picked up his gear. "I guess we get moving again, Riza," said Sam, looking at her, a bit pale. He was having some misgivings about what happened. |
