Sam and Aaren had spent the last few hours trying to catch what little sleep they could. Goku had fought with them until they bedded down, and both were incredibly beat. However, now they were up. Again. And fighting.
Again.

(Sam and Aaren gained another 2 points for the all-day fight. (CS approved)).

They had left the other three back at camp asleep while they had gone several miles off, fighting the whole way.

Nyoikinkobou shrieked as it fired a bolt of electricity at Sam.

"HA!" said Sam, having tanked the blow. Nyoikinkobou sparked. The field it was generating at the moment was massive- it still had stored energy from the lightning yesterday. Unbeknownst to Sam, Aaren, and Goku, it was screwing BADLY with Sam's digivice. Digisoul worked, but that was actually about all- the telemetry tracking had been fried about an hour ago.

[Candescence]

He yawned, as he sat up, with a groan, noticing the abscence of the trio. "Heh, already up and training, I see..."


"They really are determined," she remarked, as she leaned against a tree.


Agumon was still sleeping.

As was Yoshi; her eyes closed as she peacefully rested against a different tree.

I skip until after the two important characters get recalled. Just going to be a lot of effort talking to myself.

[Candescence]

"Alright, then..." Marcus hopped to his feet, stretching. "Hopefully we'll reach the shoreline today. Gaia isn't a big continent, so I imagine it won't take that long."


"It wouldn't take long at all if we weren't walking," Riza remarked. "But since Goku insisted..."

She then walked over, shaking Yoshi lightly. "Come on, Yoshi, time to wake up."

Yawning, Yoshi slowly opened her eyes, before nodding. "...right..." As she sat up, she rubbed her neck. "...guess we'll-!"

And a beeping came from her Digivice. "...hn?"



"Uh oh! Red alert, Yoshi! They need us back home!"



"...red alert?" Yoshi's eyes narrowed, as she got on her feet. "...alright... guess that means we're going back." She glanced back at Riza. "You make sure that Sam doesn't get hurt."

In that instant, a gateway opened, and Yoshi ran right through it.

[Candescence]

"Oh, hell..." He picked up his partner, "Yeah, make sure Sam and Aaren don't get into trouble!"


"No problem," Riza chuckled.


Masaru then rushed into the portal, still carrying Agumon...

Goku continued an assault, chaining together a large combination of moves with Nyoikinkobou, right at Sam, who was the one practicing at the moment.

Sam managed to block the first two and the last blow, but the third and fourth dented him hard!

He came back up quickly, digisoul flaring up, stitching wounds back together.


"There you go! Use that digisoul for something useful! Let your will to win keep you upright!"

Sam let forth his own flurry of punches at Goku.

Goku didn't require much to dodge the first and the last, but the middle two managed to at least get to him, even if they didn't hurt much.

Riza immediately took flight, and went looking for those three... They had to be somewhere around here.

Goku was surprised at how quickly the kid recovered. The first attack hit, as did the second and the fourth. Holy crap, he could learn!

"Alright, alright, I get the point," smirked Goku, who was actually enjoying this. He had a wider grin on than he would've had in a long time. It didn't take her long to find them, and she chuckled, landing nearby, to watch.

Goku noticed Riza landing.

"Ah, so you're up. Took you long enough. Take a break, Sam, that was good."

Sam sighed and shrugged a bit and stretched.

"Where are Marcus and Yoshino and them?" asked Sam.

Aaren emerged from the woods with a fishing line over his shoulder carrying a couple of fish.

"Just because my name is Fish-Catcher does not mean I enjoy this..."

[Candescence]

"They got called back to HQ. There was apparently a red alert," Riza replied, walking over. "They should be able to handle it."

"They'd have to go without me anyhow," sighed Sam.


"Huh?"


"I called my dad yesterday. When I told him that I was going to train, he said my orders were that I wasn't to engage in any conflict that could jeopardize in my life. I'm a...'valuable asset'."


"His words?"


"No, theirs. He told me he loved me and wanted me to do well as usual," chuckled Sam, "Dad might seem like a brick wall, but he loves his family."

[Candescence]

She chuckled, "Well, we'd better get a move on soon. One way or another, you're gonna have to unleash your full charge before we can meet Sanzomon."
