Dark Ocean - The Endless Void

[Candescence]

"You are such a buzkill."


She coughed, not noticing the changes...


Until he the smoke was gone, and he checked his chest, hips, and groin. "Holy crap, I'm a guy again!"


She sighed with relief, something she had never previously expected to be when it came to being flat as a board again.


"Lilithmon... Figures. Bluh, bluh, huge bitch."


"Seconded..."

"Bite me, witch." With a hum, Leviamon gazed down at the group once more. "There we go... less of an eyesore, now..."



"...I don't understand..." Angemon remarked. "...why undo the work of a fellow Demon Lord?"



"...hmph... don't mistake us for the Royal Knights. If we cooperate, it's not for mutual gain; we're all in it for ourselves." Leviamon scoffed. "On the other hand, nothing stops us from sabotaging the other Demon Lords if we feel like it."



TK narrowed his eyes upon hearing that.

[Candescence]

"Huh... I suppose that's a given when you're all personifications of the Seven Deadly Sins..."


"What about our other questions? About the creatures and their master?"


They didn't say a word...

"...inhabitants of the Dark Ocean. They've lived here for... well, as long as the Dark Ocean has existed. Their master is no different... except he is actually a Digimon."



"...what Digimon?"



"...find out for yourselves." Leviamon chuckled. "All you would have to do... is look beneath the waves..."

[Candescence]

"Yeah, no thanks. I am NOT going under those waves."


She nodded in agreement. "I'd rather we get out of here."


"So... Are you gonna let us leave, Leviamon, or do you have other ideas?"


She was wondering that, herself...

"...heh..." Leviamon chuckled, as he gazed down at them. "...how easy it must seem, to ask a demon for a deal... you need to brush up on your folklore, if you wish to keep your head."



"Gnh..." He took that as a threat, and held his staff in preparation.



"...a curious thing... even the holy angels arrived in my humble abode..." He shook his head. "...were we any other place than the Dark Ocean, you may have been able to drive me off, like in ancient times... but here, I have nothing to fear. This is my realm, after all..."



TK narrowed his eyes.



"...my, my... someone seems rather angry... or should that be wrathful, hm?"

[Candescence]

"TK has anger issues, that's true, but this is not the time for that," Kari frowned, stepping forward. "If you won't let us leave just like that, we'll have to either fight you or bargain."


He nodded. "So what's it gonna be?"


They got ready...

Leviamon chuckled. "So eager... proud of your battle skills, are you not?"



Angemon noticed that. "...what are you...?"



Leviamon laughed. "...it's strange, don't you think? How the Seven Deadly Sins which we are derived from... seem to be such an integral part of humanity?"

[Candescence]

"Because humans are flawed creatures," Keith replied. "So are Digimon. But we are also capable of acknowledging our own flaws and try and improve on our own beings. Pride only becomes a sin when one becomes arrogant because of it. I myself know I have so much to improve, there is little room to be proud of what I'm capable of."


She nodded. "Humans can sin... But they can also be exemplars of virtue, as well. The Crests are proof of that."

[YolkaEd]

"...ah, yes. Courage, Friendship, Love, Knowledge, Sincerity, Reliability, Hope and Light. The Crests you all gave up so long ago..."



TK's eyes narrowed. "You knew...?"



"...but... here's something I've mulled over for a while. The saying goes 'where there is light, there is darkness'... so consider this; the Crests, much like humans themselves... can be corrupted."



Angemon blinked. "...what do you mean by that?"



"...Pride... Envy... Lust... Greed... Gluttony... Sloth... Wrath... Darkness." He smirked a touch. "Food for thought... deny it all you want, but even the most pious beings can be brought down with one misstep... even Chosen Children."

[Candescence]

"As I said, humans are flawed," Keith remarked. "I already know that... And I'm already aware of one example... Your leader, Lucemon, based off the mythical Lucifer, who had the gall and arrogance to try and rebel against God, and proceeded to get trounced by Archangel Michael and tossed straight down to Hell for it. Humans make mistakes. But we can also learn from them, and atone for our misdeeds."


She smiled, "We can't be perfect. And sometimes, even we can mess up. But when we fall, we can pick ourselves up again, and we have friends who can help us do that."

[YolkaEd]

"...though sometimes... bringing someone up could be an impossible task." Leviamon remarked. "Keep that in mind... I wouldn't forget it if I were you."

With that, he glanced at Angemon and Angewomon. "Now, as to how you'll leave my realm... a massive surge of light is required to breach a hole for someone to exit the Dark Ocean."



"...light... huh...?"



Leviamon nodded. "It's the only way to break free from this realm..."



Nodding a touch, TK glanced at Kari. "...then let's get out of here."

[Candescence]

She nodded to TK, and held out her Digivice, taking a deep breath, and focusing...


She glowed with a holy light...


And these two simply watched.

Holding his Digivice out as well, TK focused as well...



...as Angemon took on a holy shine as well.



With a hum, Leviamon slowly stepped backwards...

...just as the light shining from both Angewomon and Angemon breached a hole to the outside world; to the same area where they had entered the Dark Ocean to begin with.



"...there you go... now leave."



"...with pleasure." Angemon murmured, as he took hold of TK and Keith. "Let's go." And he flew for the opening they had created.

They nodded, heading through it as well, Angewomon carrying the two girls.
